Default EAST v WEST year thread

In this thread we shall calculate the eastern teams record against the western teams and by April we will see if the east is as weak as so many people here claim.

So far the score is:

EAST:27

WEST:28

West leads the East 28-27-- November 5th 2017

( I realize its the 6th. Games have not been played yet. Don't want to get confused when I update it.)

I will updated it as frequent as I can. Let me know if I made a mistake.

Are you counting them or is there a section for this in ESPN or BB-Ref?

The East is weak. But the West isn't that good anymore.

Interestingly the East has a lot of young talent ready to take over the NBA in a couple of years. Simmons (+Embiid?), Giannis and Porzingis all look like superstars in the making. The tide may be turning

So far, East played 29 games at home and 34 games away. They are at least as good as West.

We shall see. I think the East will hold its own this season against the West. Is one of the reasons I started this thread. Too many people here are just sheep following “East is weak” trend.

From the looks of it, there is a good balance this season.
The Stars are in the West, most of the top tier team are in the West, but the upcoming Stars are in the East. And the healthier players are in the East. Although both conference had their own list of injured players.
