Progressiveness means getting dumber? When Republicans controlled California during Reagan it ranked top 10-15 in K-12 scholastic achievement. It's been bottom 10 the last 10 years or so. Most of those redneck states you make fun of have smarter people than good 'ole Cali now.

This in addition to having the largest wealth-gap in the nation. Bravo!

The replacements were personal suggestions.

The article is 100% serious.

Reducing the punishment for knowingly giving someone HIV isn't backwards to you?

Yeah, I'm definitely the backwards one for thinking that's wrong.

If you want it to be illegal, just tell Dems that the Russians are giving people HIV.

Right and thats 1 of 1000s of laws ... and everything they contribute economically (remember...this is the current GOP barometer). Judging them off one small subset in the large context of everything they do is like showing a clip of michael jordan missing a shot to say he sucks. Dumb.

Nobody is saying California isn't productive.

Of course they are. They have great land, hundreds of miles of coastlines, vast natural resources.

We're saying California is backwards. You continually bringing up the economy doesn't change that statement.
