Default What if A-Rod went to say.... the Jags?

Quote:
Rodgers has two years left on his contract, but he can opt out next year. Odds are Rodgers will re-sign with the Packers and get a monster contract, but the team has to make sure they are able to get enough talent so Rodgers doesn't have to do everything.

Go to the Jags. Elite defense, great running game, solid receivers, warm weather, shit division.

Why would he want to stay in GB other than 'its comfortable'.

They would be a candidate to go undefeated with an all-time QB. This Jags team is insane sans QB.

checkmate

To be fair, the Broncos were not a good defense when he got there, which was their biggest reason getting demolished in the Super Bowl. They were great by the time they won it 2 years later though.

Jaguars are a good organization now because Coughlin is near the top. Love that guy. Their QB sucks though, which is the only thing holding them back. Thought the same about the Texans but then all of a sudden they start giving up 30+ points too

Ball sacc gettin slayed as usual

But the real reason...

The monitory of pro athletes have that Uber “gotta win or die “ mentality that kobe, Brady, mj, have.

I am homies with pro athletes

Sure, they wanna win

But at the end of the day, they want money and comfort.

Period.

A rod is definitely on the side of winning isn’t life or death

He gonna stay in Green Bay and stay being a god

End of story.

I wouldn't go that far.

Lotta good talent and weapons, young and elite in a few areas moving forward bu that O-line would be suspect in a playoff game

Fournette averages the third most rushing yards per game in the league, behind Zeke and Bell.

If their O-line is their biggest weakness, then they're already ****ing stacked.

Minus a QB, of course.

Okay, well...

How many attempts? He's a bell cow bruiser. They are leaning on him like the Vikes did early AP but no Birk or Hutchinson to make them stand out.

That one stat does not factor all of the things that would convince me the JAX offensive line is any better than average.

Who are their guards? Are they mobile, can they swing out and pull on designed plays.

How clean of a pocket do they generally give Bortles? I know he was pretty terrible under duress last season although much of that was his own doing.

I haven't watched them all that extensively except BAL game where the team dominated every phase it isn't even good to judge something on one sample of absolute domination and competency deviance. BAL does have a good defense at stopping the run

Bottles is really really bad.

We see how bad the Packers look with an incompetent qb now. They're a contender with Rodgers.

Jags are a playoff team and with a defense like that they always have to be taken seriously in playoffs. Expecting them to go from playoff team to be taken seriously with an incompetent qb to potential undefeated team with goat ability qb Rodgers may be a stretch, but 15-1 would be reasonable.
