Cool Wu-Tang Clan

On this day in 1993 one of the greatest albums in MUSIC history was released.

To celebrate this momentous event, this thread will be flooded with Wu videos. From group to collabos, The Wu has cemented itself as one of history's greatest groups/bands.

I will start it off with perhaps the greatest verse in rap history, followed by a the 2nd greatest rap song of all time.

Too many songs to chose from. But not just the Wu itself, the Wu family is extensive and have dropped classic albums as well. I'll post some of the forgotten classic material.

"Ultraviolet shine blind forensics.

I inspect you, from the future, see Millennium."

Quote:
An NTSB investigator seeking the cause of an airline disaster meets a warrior woman from 1000 years in the future. She replaces the people from airplanes before they crash with corpses with the same features.

Quote:
Bill Smith, chief investigator for the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), investigates the crash of an airplane with a great number of casualties. He meets the gorgeous and singular Louise Baltimore, who is a time traveler, in the hangar where he is examining the debris of the airplane and is immediately seduced by her. They have a one night stand and on the next morning, Louise tries to convince him to stay with her, but the reluctant Bill goes to the hangar. While snooping around in the debris, Bill is attacked by Louise, who does not seem to recognize him, and her friends. Bill soon learns that Louise is a time traveler from 1000 years in the future, when the population is sterile, and replaces the passengers from airplanes that will crash by corpses with the same features. However, they have to be careful to avoid time paradoxes that may destroy their world.

I don't know if the lyric is referencing that film, but interesting nonetheless. Seems like a movie right up my alley as well...l I will look into it.

it was an HBO classic in those years (89' & 90'). They aired that movie many many times.
I've actually never seen it all the way through, but always caught the ending.

^ Those people are being inspected, by folks in the future.

Let's not act like these some ancient rappers who don't release music anymore, Wu released a banger not too long ago.

Yup!

Rae also released a solid album earlier this year and Ghost is forever releasing good stuff (although he can't spit like he used to).

The mastering on 36 chambers is suspect and ODB is wack af I don't care what anyone says, but I used to jam this album on a ghetto cd player while shooting hoops in the neighbors driveway until one day the ball landed on the eject button and the disc popped out and got scratched, I still have the disc but it barely works now.

Deck was originally my favorite member based on Pinky Ring which was the first wu track I ever heard until I went through a short lived Cappadonna phase as I grew older and re-visited their catalog.

The Pillage>

Although Ironman is probably the best wu solo overall

The mastering is sh*tty, but it's what gives it it's raw and grit.

ODB was never known as a great MC, but he was an original and had some moments once you knew what he meant.

I just did some original Wu-Tang art work I will be selling once I finish the digital artwork and copyright.

I did it for all the heads of hip hop, The Beatles of rap.

If you can't name the 9 original members of Wu-Tang Clan off the top of your head, just stop listening to rap music.

Such an inability would be disgraceful.
