NBA coaches do nothing.

Ignorant statement.

Name a coach who could get Jordan Crawford player of the week.

top 10

KD, Kawhi, Porzingis, Kyrie, Nikola, Simmons, Spo, Pop, Giannis, Buford

Embiid and AD would be up there if they didnt have injury issues

Kerr (when healthy) was right at his level but he hasn't been the same since the injuries. He no longer has his past explosiveness:

There actually is a man who i believe works for the 76ers who is into analytics and all that shit, I forgot his name, but he said that the absolute most wins a coach can give his team is 12 which is extremely significant don't get me wrong but just off the top of my head I would assume at least that LeBron, WB, Durant(on any other team), Harden, Curry, Kawhi, at the very least would probably give the PHX Suns +13 wins on the year (I project them as a 28-35 win team.

I would assume Stevens is most likely Klay Thompson-esque when it comes to his ability to add wins, which is absolutely great to have. One all star level player basically is on the floor at all times, in the theoretical sense, when you have Stevens coaching

Pop is 68 years old. He can coach for maybe a couple more years? Stevens is 41 years old so he can coach for 30+ more years. No comparison.

Stevens is 41 years old so he can coach at an elite level for 30+ more years. A player will be lucky to play at an elite level for 10 years.

Anyone who takes brad stevens over a top 10 player much less the MVP candidates is retarded. It isnt just Brad that is great, its the whole culture of Boston from the top down how they run their shit. Put Stevens on a team like the hornets or pelicans and he would be just another above average coach. In order to develop a great system like Boston has right now you need three things. Elite Culture, elite coaching, and elite talent.

Just like golden state with lacob-->kerr->curry/dray/klay
or sanantonio with Buford-->Pop-->kawhi/manu/parker

etc its the trio all coming together that gives the best peak team possibility.

He really is on another level as far as coaches are concerned.

1. Any top 10 player? LeBron will be 33 years old in December. He can play for 5 more seasons while progressively declining. Stevens is 41 years old so he can coach at an elite level for 30+ more years. Age and longevity heavily factor into this.

2. Elite coaches establish elite culture. Celtics definitely didn't have anything close to elite talent last year and they still got the number 1 seed in the East.

3. Bob Myers is the GM. Lacob is the owner.

Obviously not guys like lebron who will team hop or retire on you soon... but young potential top 10 talent then...even someone like durant...you'd be a fool.

And no... elite coaches cant necessarily establish elite culture on their own. You have to have some organizational backing and have a team of high character guys on top of it (which is what upper managemnt does) A coach cant just step in and snap his fingers and get a group of malcontents to follow his orders to a tee from practice to game time in an organization thats poorly run. If you look at Boston now, they dont have a single headcase on the team and if they did theyd be able to reign him in with how many high character guys they got ala Dray. Theres way more factors going on then just brad stevens although he is great.

I'd credit Danny Ainge just as much.

Danny had some bad blunders in the past.

But he's ruthless and builds his team solid.

Gordon Hayward will most likely get traded in 3 years. Danny is already plotting--especially if Tatum and Brown progress like they do.

No Kyrie, no Hayward, and no Horford? No problem for Stevens.
