Coming out of high school his shot was in question. He made some threes last year in college. But he made what...3 midrange shots all season? The kid isn't a shooter.

Maybe cool it with the "near triple double" lol..
simmons flirts with one every game, lolzo has his standard triple single every game and flirts with being the woat rookie pg playing ridiculous high minutes

He looks like he's shooting it because he has too. Right now if he was the 15th overall pick, coming off the bench, his dad wasn't in the picture, and he was just playing his game getting guys looks and crashing the boards and only shooting to keep d's honest he'd be fine.

He needs to shoot/score because it opens everything up to do a bunch more stuff. Problem is he's not that guy right now, and IMO without the LaVar hype train nobody ever would think he is. He'll eventually start hitting some shots but I don't see the halfcourt scoring that will make him the 15-16 PPG scorer some envisioned. In college he looked like the guy who could lead a run, run an offense, and be an all-around player who has all the "intangibles" but not an individually dominant player. 2nd was probably a little too high for him, but give him time and I think he becomes a solid PG that helps you win games but maybe not the multiple All-Star type PG some were hoping for.

I think Walton needs to sit him down for awhile. Take some of the pressure off of him. Don't want to risk stunting his development or having him go backwards. Guess it could pay off if he eventually works itself out and he figures things out over the next 10 games.

Absolutely. He should've been benched after the first 4-5 games.

It absolutely would

For whatever reason, being sent down to the G-League is viewed upon with such ire in the NBA/fans/media and it really shouldn't be.

This is a 20 year old kid we're talking about here. Players develop at different paces.

The NHL has developed a culture where playing in the AHL prior to getting called up is necessary for a number of youngsters. It's not nearly as frowned upon but almost welcomed.

I guess when you get picked so high, you're expected to come out the gates swinging.

Everything about this is great. His ugly ass face when he gets the ball, that horrific action, posing with his arm up then bricks it horribly
