He needs to shoot/score because it opens everything up to do a bunch more stuff. Problem is he's not that guy right now, and IMO without the LaVar hype train nobody ever would think he is. He'll eventually start hitting some shots but I don't see the halfcourt scoring that will make him the 15-16 PPG scorer some envisioned. In college he looked like the guy who could lead a run, run an offense, and be an all-around player who has all the "intangibles" but not an individually dominant player. 2nd was probably a little too high for him, but give him time and I think he becomes a solid PG that helps you win games but maybe not the multiple All-Star type PG some were hoping for.

I think Walton needs to sit him down for awhile. Take some of the pressure off of him. Don't want to risk stunting his development or having him go backwards. Guess it could pay off if he eventually works itself out and he figures things out over the next 10 games.

Benching him would just make it worse... It's not like they have anyone on the bench that's a better point guard than him. You could put Ingram as the main ballhandler I guess but benching Lonzo just because of his bad shooting will not magically turn him into a better shooter.

Yep.

Zero impact what so ever.

Stat padded rebounds again.

Shot 3/12, 1/7 from 3, with a +/- of -15 and was just flat out fvcking useless.

What do people mean Lonzo had zero impact? He impacted the game alright, albeit in favor of the opposing team. He is beyond awful. B-b-b-b-but nearly a triple-double! Empty stats if I've ever seen some. This guy is a playmaker who can't playmake. That's hilarious and saddening at the same time.

keep playing him. at his age, you only learn to figure things out when you keep getting your ass kicked. lonzo needs to get schooled more and players around the league are happy to do that.

the lakers aren't going anywhere anyway.

He is just flat out dog shit... people make out that by playing a few more seasons he is going to suddenly turn into a good player.

I just don't see it... his shot is completely broke which would take a long time to fix, and I am not sure he has the competitive drive to become a good NBA player.

His shot will come around.

People hating on him will be singing a different tune three years from now.

How many other rookies are getting 33mins per game?

The dude blows

Lonzo Ball has struggled from all over the floor. He’s shooting 35.2 percent in the paint and 23.3 percent outside the paint. Both are the worst in the NBA (min. 50 attempts).

He won't be talked about cause he'll be out of the league.

Sit him bec he's struggling shooting. Last night was the 2nd of a back to back facing 2 of the best teams of the East ON THE ROAD and he had 8 rebs,8 assists while Brook, Ingram, Kuzma, KCP were a combined 0-9 from the 3pt area, 2 of 16 outside Lonzo, so it's not just him.
Wizards got embarrased and was ready to slaughter them after a hard game at Boston.

Ingram was playing a lot of minutes too last season with very minimal impact.
It's a learning curve, again check the stats per most superstars at age 20 and realize it's not that great as compared to their stats 2 years later. Check the first 10 games of Kidd at age TWENTY ONE. You know why Kidd didn't turned pro at age 20? Maybe he was too raw?
Game 11 for the TWENTYH ONE YEAR OLD Kidd, he shot 22% against the top 3 worst defensive team TWolves, more turnovers etc etc.

Who gives a shit what Jason Kidd did in his 11th game.

The comparison is dumb (regardless who the players are) Different opponents, different systems, different era.

Just because player 1 got better over time doesn't mean player 2 will do the same. It's just a pipe dream to expect such a thing.
