The number 2 pick in the league should be able to shoot coming out of college or at least have a post-up game/drive to the rack to do some scoring. Just try to get the opposition to pick up some fouls by driving...anything other than pass the ball and vanish.
He makes one pass while bringing it up the floor and his teammates hardly ever look to get the ball back to him. He's nothing more than a bailout shooter at this point. If no one else is open, Lonzo will be cause he's not being guarded.... just standing outside by the 3 line.
It's really no surprise that his assist to TO ratio is top 10. He barley gets the ball back after his initial pass. His teammates can't count on him after the initial pass.
You have the nerve to present your "facts" where is it, what stat are you talking about to PROVE YOUR POINT.
give me a freaking link!
According to you, Lonzo makes ONE PASS and barely gets the ball back, how on EARTH is it possible that he still gets to take TWELVE SHOTS per game(Westbrook shot 13 his rookie year), have a USAGE RATE OF 19.2!!!!
Jason Kidd at age 21, had a usage of 19.0, 10.8 attempts/game.
Lonzo makes ONE pass, he gets 6-7 assists/game, so you mean to tell me ALL of them came via outlet outlet pass?
Malcolm Brogdon who was pretty good last season had a USG rate of 18.5 https://www.basketball-reference.com...brogdma01.html
And you know what usage rate means right?
Usage Percentage (available since the 1977-78 season in the NBA); the formula is 100 * ((FGA + 0.44 * FTA + TOV) * (Tm MP / 5)) / (MP * (Tm FGA + 0.44 * Tm FTA + Tm TOV)). Usage percentage is an estimate of the percentage of team plays used by a player while he was on the floor.
At age 25, Steve Nash has a USG rate of 14.5 and before you suspect he barely played, he averaged 27 minutes per game. https://www.basketball-reference.com.../nashst01.html
Look, I am not saying he is playing great, but to imply that he is garbage or proclaim that he is already a bust this early is wrong IMO.
You can make excuses on why his assists to turnover rate is so high blah blah blah, but he is contributing period.
Westbrook shot 27% from the 3pt area AND UNDER 40%FG, his rookie year, 22 % from the 3pt line his 2nd year.
