He hasn't put up more rebounds nor blocks than anyone else. He has played more minutes than anyone, 17 more than second highest and 37 more than third highest, though. He has taken the third most shots as well with the 10th most makes. He's also 10th in free throw attempts and 12th in points scored.

As of right now, I'd take Donovan Mitchell, Jayson Tatum, Lauri, Mike James, DSJr. and Kuzma over him without much thought. Then you have guys like Collins, Fox and even Jackson. If Ntili got nearly as much time, he'd probably produce just as well.

You just said in another thread that benching Lonzo would do no good. But Simmons all of a sudden has the advantage cause he could work and learn for the 3rd worst team in the league?

There are many DNP players throughout the league who ride the pine for the majority of the season(s) (except garbage time against 3rd string)......... but it's doesn't help their games as their career goes on.

Are you really this retarded? What does that have to do with anything? Benching Lonzo would be bad for his confidence because you'd be benching him just because he's missing good shots. He's arguably the best defensive player on a team that's gone from 30th ranked defense to 6th and is 7th in assists with a better AST-TO ratio than most point guards in the league and you're asking them to bench him .

Of course it's an advantage because Simmons has an extra year to study the game and to work on his skills, he's over a year older. Obviously that makes it easier for him to win ROY. I don't care what record Philly had, he's in the league and is trained by professional coaches, don't tell me you're this dumb . It's not like his progress is stunted because he didn't play a single NBA minute.

Dude just needs to only take shots in the paint during a fast break or from passes he gets when he cuts to the rim.

Just accept that the defense will sag off and work on a new release in practices. Do NOT flick up outside shots in real games..

I was talking totals that the guy posted among all the new guards/SFs.

Like all of those guys except Tatum, Kuzma and Markkanen have struggled shooting the ball. DSJ 47%TS with 3.5 turnovers a game, just as bad from the FT line, Fox is averaging 12/4/6 but has a 45%TS and is shooting 18% from 3. Josh Jackson is averaging 9/3/1 with a 47%TS and has an even worse PER than Lonzo. Donovan Mitchell is shooting 34% with 36% on twos, 2 rebounds 2 assists and 2 turnovers a game.

None of these guys have been exceptional, let's not act like they are killing shit either. Some of these guys are putting up scoring numbers at average efficiency but nothing much else.

Y'all only look at offense and say that the guys who are shooting around 35-40% but not doing much else are better than a guy who is shooting 5-10% worse but is rebounding, passing and defending much better.

So even with his shitty scoring he's producing, if he picked up his shooting he would be by far the 2nd best rookie in the class behind Simmons.

but he has not picked up his shooting which makes him maybe the 10th or 11th best PG in the rookie class

that's like saying if a baseball player could hit the baseball better he'd be an MVP

He sucks, along with Ingram. Our rebuild has failed miserably 5 years in a row. Every year we take 2 steps back

Because of shooting? So anything else he does as a POINT GUARD would still make him that bad in your rankings??? The fact he leads them all in assist and rebounds?

Remind me again the blistering shooting percentages for Smith Jr or Fox?? Or Frank the Tank in NY? Or Mitchell? Or how about even Fultz?
The best shooter? Fox.....41%.....

Do any of those guys need to pick up their shooting or is it just strictly Lonzo?
