Let's be honest with ourselves...kyrie does not have a single argument to be MVP over Harden at this point.

He used to be LeBron's teammate, that's the argument

Yeah... His offense has been abysmal so far in terms of shooting efficiency. Harden plays in a D'Antoni system so he'll have the better numbers. Irving could win but only if Boston wins like 60+ games. Perfect storyline with Hayward being injured and turning a 53-win team to an actual contender.
Boston was at 6-6 through 12 games last season, 10 - 2 right now with Kyrie with 10 straight wins that include 6 on the road.

Even if Boston wins 60+, it's looking like Houston may win that many themselves.

And not only has Harden been putting up great numbers and if last night is a good representation, he's been making momentum changing plays.

He's the MVP at this point in the season and it isn't even remotely close.

Not arguing that, but Boston has the better roster. They can win games even when they struggle shooting but Houston really can't. So far they've been up against "meh" defenses for the most part so the 9 - 3 record is expected, didn't expect them to beat GS on opening night though.

This.

It's the same thing with the 2016 Finals. Haters can't prop up Kyrie, while making excuses as to why LeBron played well.

Imagine if Hardens wins MVP.

Lebron will have beaten a team with 3 players on it who ended up MVP winners, and beat a team with 73 wins

Yawn. No one wants to give MVP to a gimmicky offense. Inflatable stats. Nash 2.0 except more scoring but less playoff success.

Kyrie is DRose 2011 all over again and y'all are just too dumb to see it right now. 62-20 with 24/8 stat lines and probably a few big games against CLE/GS/WAS/OKC are gonna give MVP voters enough substance to give it to him

Statistically Irving isn't even close to being an MVP.

22.0/5.7/3.3 on 45% shooting is MVP worthy? Are you kidding me? There is no award for being the flashiest player in the league.

Brad Stevens would easily be my pick for coach of the year though.

This was also the last healthy game of Kobe's career. Played all 48 minutes at age 34 @Rose Garden.
