The MVP of the Dallas Cowboys is Tyron Smith...mainly because the gap between him and our next tackle is GINORMOUS

losing Zeke hurts, but the gap between him and Morris is just going from 'elite' to 'average'

the gap between Tyron and our next tackle (could be several guys) is as big a gap as possible...it's going from the best there is to the worst there is. When Tyron is out, Dak has to get rid of the ball in 2 seconds flat every play.

That was probably the best performance I have seen from an O-Line this year, complete domination.

without Tyron Smith in the game Adrian Clayborn of the Falcons sacks Dak SIX TIMES and sets a Falcon's team record.

Clayborn has 2 sacks in all the other games combined

That should show everyone how vital Tyron Smith is...without him, Dak has no chance

When Adrian Clayborn sacks your qb six times, thats just bad coaching. After sack 2 the guy should be getting chipped or double teamed every play, and after sack 4 he should be getting chipped AND double teamed every play. Look at Clayborns sacks in that game(video), aside from sack #2 where Clayborn dropped into coverage and only rushed to meet Dak after he started scrambling, every single one of these sacks came 1v1 against the backup LT. No doubt it hurts to lose Tyron Smith who can handle rushers 1v1, but a good coach would never allow one mediocre pass rusher to get 6 sacks regardless of how bad their backup LT is. There are barely any LTs in the league who can go 1v1 every play like Smith can, expecting the backup to perform on the same level as Smith is just flat out retarded coaching.

The 6 sacks in a game is even more inexcusable when you consider that it was a mobile QB that was getting sacked over and over. It would be one thing if it was Cutler or some other immobile pocket type of guy getting sacked over and over, but for it to happen 6 times to a quick young guy like Dak is beyond absurd.

Only 3 other players in NFL history have ever had 6 or more sacks in a game - Derrick Thomas (2x), Fred Dean, and Osi Umenyiora (Thomas and Dean are both hall of famers). Only 15 players in NFL history have ever had 5 or more sacks in a single game (another list littered with hall of famers). Clayborn is a decent pass rusher, but he had 4.5 sacks in all of last year and 3.0 sacks the year before... getting 6 against one time is a massive outlier for a player like him.

I doubt im the only person around here that listens to Mike Lombardis podcast, and I think he is spot on with his garrett criticisms. Garrett does not design the offensive schemes, he does not call the plays on offense, he doesnt help with the defensive scheming or playcalling... what the hell does he actually do aside from clapping on the sideline?

Taking a page from primetime . . wah wah wah

injuries!

injuries!

For real though, I know how good their line is but holla at me next year when we see those chumps with a real front 7.

This season has been a wash from Day One. More apathy.

Star players injured all across the league? Retarded politics injected into a corporate circus show where guys run and throw a ball?

Dudes continually chain-snatching and instigating a street brawl?

Papa John a potential plant from Jerry Jones to obstruct Roger Goodell's conotract extension?

Looking at copious beer and liquor ads while the powers that be say these guys can't smoke reefer to alleviate and distract them from weekly pain?

Oh, but these guys CAN play on Thursdays, four days after the last game where a good hit is like getting in a 25 mph car wreck.

LMAOO NFL is kind of an embarrassment this season sans the great football plays and coaching

I agree Garrett should have adjusted and should get criticized for that game.

Most head coaches in the NFL do not call plays on offense or defense though. There are a handful that do, I know Sean Payton does, but most of the time play calling is done by the coordinators. The HC just oversees everyone else and adjusts as he sees fit.

The only reason Garrett started as a play caller back in the day is because he was a QB and groomed as an OC.

Bills start out hot, drive the ball inside the 10 yd line but end up throwing an INT.
