Default Is Dak a franchise QB?

If I was Dallas I would be cautious, he is just good enough to be a solid starter for 5-8 years but he isn't going to be Favre or Manning.

Doomsday what do you think

Not being Favre or Manning isn't reason to be cautious. One is top 3 and the other top 10 ever.

You can win with Dak. He can be one of the reasons you win. Its up to Dallas to build a proper defense around him.

Andy Dalton is not a franchise QB.

They should have been looking to upgrade the position for a couple years. He's not someone you can win with unless you have a stacked team around him and even then it's sketchy.

You need guys who can consistently be one of the reasons you win. You don't need a guy who is THE reason you win.

But you need someone better than Dalton.

Dak has had one of the greatest starts ever, this year included. He is the first QB in history to only throw 4 ints in his first 500 passes. Thatís him throwing...Zeke isnít throwing it for him.

Recently he struggled without Tyron Smith and Zeke...but itís understandable imo. No NFL team is just a QB. Other players matter. Too many NFL fans put the weight of everything, all team success or failure, on the QB.

Injuries matter...itís a legit excuse...Green Bay sucks without Rodgers, and we get it. Dallas sucks without Tyron, Zeke, Lee...that should be understood too.

Rodgers lost all his WRs, he didn't suck.
Wilson lost Lynch & Graham, he didn't suck.

Both these guy had nobody around them, they didn't just start sucking. Now, these 2 maybe the 2 best QBs in the NFL, but still....can you give examples of QBs turning into hot trash after some RB or OL injuries? Not sure why you bring up defensive players BTW

So what? RGIII had a 4:1 TD-INT ratio rookie season.

Garrett is a b!tch and once you let Dak have to play in a non-watered down gameplan, he shows why he is a 4th rounder.

Put Dak on the Texans, for instance, and he's a back up

Well I donít think Dak will be Rodgers...honestly I donít think anyone is Rodgers. Thatís the benchmark.

Defense matters to THE TEAM. If Dallas was winning these games, no one would accuse Dak of ďsuckingĒ. They lost key players, they started losing, and naturally simple minded retards blame the QB instead of the glaringly obvious fact that 3 AllPros are now gone.

Defense ALSO matters to the offense btw...if the defense gives up 50 points, the offense has to abandon run altogether. Everything effects everything. Zeke is our best defender, he keeps the actual defense off the field.

Despite having a shitty coach Dalton has been a pretty decent QB. Look at guys like Matt Ryan, with good coaching and team you can have a really good QB

Anyways the point of the dalton line is because dalton is a borderline franchise QB. If your QB is not better than him you have to question if he’s a franchise QB or not

Wouldn't trade him for any "QB" prospect this year.

Matt Stafford would be a better example, he is borderline top 10 while Dalton is not.
Remember 3 years ago Kaepernick was considered a franchise QB, so it changes.

Dalton is literally a franchise QB...complete w/$100m contract

You can say heís a bad QB...but heís still a franchise QB

Dak will likely get a big franchise contract too...and be the Dallas QB for many years
