OF COURse lil carby it is USUALLY asked , just like this thread, is a qb GOOD ENOUGH to be that franchises qb for the next 5-15 years.

It’s usually not asked behind like dalton.

And some franchise qb are better than others.

AND I bet 1,000$ cash, the Cleveland Browns would have LOVE to have joe Flacco the last 10 years or Andy dalton the last 7 years.

Comeon. Overall dalton and Flacco have been good enough to be a stOarting qb for a lot of years. Moving forward, is different

Should ravens and bengals look for a new qb?

That’s the question NOW.

Bengal front office had enough faith in Dalton to give him a long term $100m contract.

THAT makes him their franchise QB...and that’s a fact too, not some wild opinion

Some posters on a message board have low opinion of Dalton doesn’t determine him being a franchise QB. The fact that he is literally the QB the franchise choose to lead long term does.

What is Game Manager?
A quarterback that makes very few costly mistakes or turnovers. Game managers rely on a strong defense and rushing attack to win the game.

There are two definitions in that link...

Here’s Wikipedia’s
In American football, a game manager is a quarterback who, despite relatively poor individual statistics such as passing yards and touchdowns, performs well enough to win games.

You’re argument that Dak is a game manager was simply because Dallas plays through the run...it had nothing to actually do with Dak (who has great stats)

DAk is a solid qb.

He’s not a game manager but it’s obvious how important a great running game / rb is to his performance.

Y’all just don’t get how hOard it is to find a solid:good nfl qb

DAk Will absolutely be Dallas’ qb for the foreseeable future.

This definition fits dak perfectly, none of the other definitions fit brady at all, unlike you were stating in the other thread

The only part of that that fits Dak is the rushing...he’s never had a “strong defense”

I’ve never used “game manager” to describe the QB surroundings...only use it to describe the actual QB. To me a game manager is a QB that doesn’t take risks (like your definitions say). Dak is always going off script.

Anyway...this thread isn’t about that so whatever

Dak throws a good back shoulder and is pretty good at throwing accurate passes to the middle of the field where it gets tricky.

Can he become a legit QB for years to come? Maybe.

Jason Garrett keepin those diapers on him though and without Ewok Elliot, that's why Dallas is mediocre at best.

Garrett is a Clown

I wont judge Dak too harshly considering his coach is 100% useless and his skill players (minus zeke) are among the least explosive in the entire league. I kinda think Dak would be top 5 in passer rating right now if Dallas had hired Kyle Shanahan last offseason and signed at least 1 quick defense stretcher like ginn or kenny stills or something.
