Default Lost a friend last night because of a basketbal argument lol

I travel a lot so I spent Christmas with one of my close friends. Got into an argument with him about who was a better player, Eric Bledsoe or Tyreke Evans. After awhile, I called him a few pretty bad names and told him to eat a d*ck to f*ck off, and off himself. Has anyone gotten into a serious basketball argument in real life before? Please share your stories.

If you lost a friend because of a few words in an argument then the relationship was ****ed to begin with. No, I have never lost a friend because of an argument about basketball. Playing basketball I’ve gotten ino a few scuffles but we leave shit on the court, on the court.

Got into a pretty serious near-altercation back in Hawaii. Pretty much trolled this clown during a GOAT debate at a barbershop. He legit wanted to fight because I kept saying that MJ is GOAT.

Pretty typical story I'm sure.

well if you read the OP, OP told dude to "off himself", pretty sure that could end any relationship.

got the signs of a weak friendship though

I thought it was good. I just get pretty passionate about my favorite players. I guess I was wrong.

I dunno man... if you have to "think" or "estimate" how strong a bond is, its kind of frail imo... I wouldnt really have to think about that with a couple of my mates.

then again, if I seriously told him to off himself (things we never get close to saying anyway), then I'd see it as reasonable if there are some heavy cracks in the relationship.

He didn't anything to that caliber, maybe it was just me being too defensive of my favorite player.

Any friend you lose over those ďother guyĒ ass players wasnít a real friend to begin with. You can lose somebody over Jordan disrespect....even Kobe, Lebron, or maybe Steph.

You donít lose real friends over those Jeff Malone/Cuttino Mobley/Clarence Weatherspoon/Kendall Gill ass ******. Thatís like a dragonball fan friendship ending over a Yamcha debate. Like TMNT fan show fighting over Rocksteady vs that hockey mask dude. Like a Sopranos argument on Furio vs Ritchie. Itís like losing a friend because he doesnít like crinkle fries. Curly fries? Some checkers fries? Fine. **** your friendship there is a principal that must be considered.

Crinkle fries?

You canít fight over crinkle fries.

You lost a buddy over a side order of crinkle fries. Do better.

right, maybe the fact that the fight included suicide advise had something to do with it

No? We call each other the worst of things and we're good 2 minutes later. Only way I can see myself not being good with my best friends is if one of us ****s each other's girl or some crazy shit like that, which would never happen.

If they're a Yamcha fan, they shouldn't be your friend in the first place. No man has ever taken as many Ls as him
