Warriors have a top 3 pg, sf of all time.

Klay is the 2nd greatest shooter of all-time, would be a top 3 goat sg if he had a legit handle, something he needs to work on.

As much as I hate Draymond he is a top 15 defender.

Warriors in a sweep in any era.

Leonard’s Spurs were giving them fits because they had a long, elite wing perimeter defender and rebounders.

Now put that on steroids with MJ, Pippen, Harper and Rodman.

And the Bulls ran an actual offense unlike dumb ass Cleveland trying to out run and out score / shoot GS.

The Bulls would slow it down and grind it out and beat them with cerebral execution. Something LeBron offensive systems can’t do. Because it’s all predicated predicated on stand around ISO game for catch and shoot opportunities. Cavs also played no defense. Particularly LeBron.

With any sort of semblance of 90s physicality and the feeble minded and weak statures GSW leadership would crumble.

which Bulls team?

I love how we get your idealistic fantasy take of that Bulls team for any team, ever.

Like it could be Curry/Rozan/James/Davis/Cousins, and it would still be Bulls cause "With any sort of semblance of 90s physicality and the feeble minded and weak statures leadership would crumble" that kinda stuff.

This is pre 2011 NBA basketball, players and teams, meaning you don’t know what you’re talking about. Stay in your lane Nazi snitch.

The '17 Warriors would absolutely shit on ANY version of the Bulls. That's just a fact, "Coach".

Excellent post, Naero. You cut back on all those 20 dollar words and made a concise point.

Here's a couple of snippets from this article at Mercury News:

On the í85 Lakers: The best Showtime team with the Magic Johnson-Kareem Abdul-Jabbar-James Worthy nucleus that won five titles in the Ď80s. This team, with Bob McAdoo and Michael Cooper coming off the bench, ended the Celtic curse after losing all eight prior Finals meetings, turning the Lakers from Celtic bobos into the greatest team of the post-Russell era with 11 titles since 1970.

On the Warriors: I donít like to salivate over modern teams to the exclusion of those who came before in the history-averse today-driven internet era, but their greatness is unmistakable after posting win totals of 67-73-67. With one less low blow in last seasonís Game 4, they might have mopped the floor with a very good Cavaliers team three times running. Chemistry is right up there with their best-ever firepower, such that Steve Kerrís fill-ins could go 39-4, like Luke Walton, or undefeated in the playoffs, like Mike Brown.

On the í63 Celtics: In the middle of the greatest-ever dynasty with the most Hall of Famers, the greatest individual winner, best coach and general manager and taking out elite competition in Hall of Fame filled teams in each round.

On the í67 76ers: Wilt at his absolute best and no one ever was better than Wilt at his best as a team guy with individual dominance. Didnít have the long run because of the Celtics and Russell, but peaked as high as anyone for one shining season. The 1982-83 76ers were just behind them.

On the Warriors: Itís too soon for the Warriors in the top five with just a second title, though their season long dominance gets them in the discussion unlike many recent champions. Their post-season path has been unusually easy because of the way the star talents have combined in this era on just a few teams, limiting Golden Stateís test against history.

On the í85 Lakers: A young point guard Magic Johnson, a still dominant scoring center in Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and an athletic power forward in James Worthy were a problem on the fast break. This was the best version of the Showtime Lakers. What may be most impressive is that these Lakers beat Larry Bird and the Boston Celtics in six games.

On the Warriors: The big problem the 2017 Warriors would have had against the NBAís elite teams is they didnít have an elite center. But could Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Hakeem Olajuwon and Shaquille OíNeal run with the Warriors? David Robinson and Bill Russell would have done fine. Perhaps the team that could have the best collection of talent to guard the Warriors was the versatile 1996 Bulls led by Michael Jordan. The size of the 1985 Lakers and versatility of Magic would have been an issue as well. But, good luck guarding todayís super team. Only video games can try to answer those questions.

Basically this.

We can talk about matchups all day long, but the fact is it comes down to style and game plan.

The Cavs don't t have an offensive system.
The Cavs' defence sucks.

The Bulls' biggest weakness was interior defense vs bigs. The Warriors don't have any bigs so it's basically a matchup vs the wing players.

The Bulls would simply attack the paint and expose the Warriors' weak interior defence. If the Warriors had issues with the Cavs' stagnant playground offence, they'd be broken vs the disciplined triangle offence.

OP so triggered by Lebron's shit defense on KD in the 2017 finals that he has to try and drag a guy like MJ who doesn't even know how to lose in the finals into this by comparing MJ's teams to the 2017 GSW.
