Default Iran's enemies to blame for unrest, says supreme leader, as nine die overnight

Quote:
The protests have become the biggest challenge to the Iranian government's authority since mass demonstrations in 2009. Around 450 people have been arrested over the past three days, according to state media.

The rallies began Thursday over the country's stagnant economy and rising living costs, but they developed into a broader outcry against the government and intensified over the weekend. Many of the protesters are young Iranians tired of the lack of economic opportunity in the country.

Of the nine people killed Monday, seven were protesters. Six of them died in the central city of Qahdarijan when demonstrators stormed a police station and attempted to take guns from authorities, state media reported. The seventh protester was killed in nearby Khomaini Shahr.

This is why we have a 2nd amendment.

A policeman died in Najafabad after a protester shot at officers with a hunting rifle, according to state media. Three other officers were wounded. A member of the Basij, a pro-government militia, was also killed, in south Tehran.

Video images shared on social media from the central city of Tuyserkan on Sunday showed protesters throwing chairs, tables and other objects in reach at riot police, forcing the outnumbered officers to retreat. Six protesters were shot dead in the unrest there, according to the semi-official Fars news agency.

Iran has shutdown the internet and local media in attempts to quell the protests.

Quote:
Exclusive leaked memo shows Iranian regime in panic after deadly protests

THE LEAD STORY: Leaked meeting notes provided exclusively to Fox News shows how Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei met with political leaders and heads of the country's security forces to discuss how to tamp down on deadly nationwide protests ... The memo covered several meetings up to Dec. 31 and was given to the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) by high-level sources from within the regime. It said the unrest has hurt every sector of the country's economy and “threatens the regime’s security. The first step, therefore, is to find a way out of this situation.” The notes added, “Religious leaders and the leadership must come to the scene as soon as possible and prevent the situation (from) deteriorating further ... God help us, this is a very complex situation and is different from previous occasions.”

Don't worry. I'm sure the CIA/Mossad is funnelling weapons there as we speak. And I don't see you doing very much about your utterly criminal government, which is trying to posture and pretend it is superior to the Iranians, when not so long ago you armed Saddam to the teeth and sent him against them (who have not fought a single aggressive war since the 19th century). And now you wonder why they don't like you (because they "hate freedom" i suppose )

This is about as much of an organic uprising as were the "freedom fighters" in Syria. If you think it is a coincidence that now that crackpot scheme has failed this is happening in Iran, then you are braindead.

That's why the people over there are risking their lives to steal... guns.

Not food, or water. But guns. To protect themselves from the government/police/military, because they have no way to defend themselves. They're using hunting rifles to kill police officers.

'But but you'll never be able to beat the government with....'

Anyone who tries to use that line as justification as to why we shouldn't have guns doesn't understand reality.

But this is about Iran, and their nationwide protests that probably are a result of outside interference and most definitely not a result of a 13% unemployment rate.

It's incredible how hard out govt tries to demonize Iran. Meanwhile Saudi Arabia is undergoing an unprecedented and dangerous level of political upheaval and I haven't heard anything in the local media about it. But Saudi Arabia allowing women to drive was everywhere on the news

13%? Lay down the crack pipe, bruh.

Greece - 21.7
Albania 17.5
Montenegro 17.3
Spain - 16.8
Cyprus - 15.8

How many police stations attacked in those counties?

If you cant identify the signature of foreign powers, you simply have a pair of blind eyes.

Dude, c'mon: they're just trying to get some guns to protect themselves, protect themselves by taking to the streets, rioting and attacking people.

Like... what are you supposed to say to someone like this?

The exact kinds of things happening in Iran were happening in the colonies 250 years ago. It’s EXACTLY why the inaugural government of the newly independent USA put provisions for gun ownership in the Const. It’s so people can fight back when the government infringes on their rights, as it INEVITABLY will do, as the entire spectrum of human history hs proven.

fiddy, go back to bed bruh.

Well we KNOW Trump is to blame, because Republican.

How about the super left leaning liberal media? Maybe they should cover things like this? Afterall, theyre not completely controlled by an agenda set from the top about what to outrage people with and what to keep quiet.

Nah, theyre the good guys.

Just blame the republicans. When a dem takes office, then keep blaming the republicans, for like... not free healthcares or somethin.

I know their citizenry isn't happy with their leadership.

To the point of protests.

I know that much.

Youve finally decided to stop parroting me (with an extra dollop of pretentiousness and grandiloquence), and go your own separate way with this gimmick?

Good for you mane
