Default Reminder: KD was a career loser before jumping ship to Steph's 73 win team

The only reason he was even able to make the finals was because he was playing alongside TWO MVPs (Harden will be the 2018 MVP) and because it was a lockout season. All these guys were incredibly young with fresh legs, obviously this would be a huge benefit in such a compacted season compared to teams featuring older players as their stars.

Honestly 2012 shouldn't even count. Back-to-back-to-backs in the regular season and even back-to-backs in the playoffs. Just a completely different set of circumstances that shouldn't be compared with other years.

The rest of KD's abysmal playoff career is littered with nothing but choking. Completely shackled by Artest in 2010 to the tune of 35% shooting, Daddy dicked by old man Dirk in 2012 while shooting sub 40% in each of the last 3 games in the series, embarrassing 5 game beatdown by Mike Conley and the Grizz ( ) in 2013 with a stellar 15-48 shooting in the last two games, 2014 he won MVP and then wasn't even the best player on his team in the playoffs, and of course the infamous 3-1 collapse against GS in 2016.

tldr; KD is a bitch and so are you if you defend him.

Reminder: the Warriors only needed a slight upgrade over 3.7 ppg, 32% TS Harrison Barnes in order to be champions.

2014 is probably the worst of the lot, though...

few other ATG's if any escape that first round.

This was an MVP at full health absolutely sucking for 4 straight games from game 2-5, called unreliable by his own home town newspapers.

He could have lost the series 1-4 but Reggie Jackson partially saved his legacy with the grand game 4 bail-out.

But we can't shrug off 2012. He was magnificent there.

Edited the OP to reflect this. I can't believe I forgot about this, this was the year KD won MVP and then got outplayed by Westbrook in the playoffs.

He had a few bad games but overall he had a solid Playoff run, that Game 6 & 7 performance vs. Memphis redeemed his bad shooting nights and he also demolished the Clippers. Spurs were just too good that year.

35/9 on 56/46/86 shooting in two elimination games isn't good enough?

he averaged 28/10/4 n 2 blocks in the first 5 games..it's not like he disappeared he just had b2b cold nights from 3 that skewed his efficiency. You guys just over-exaggerate it because you hate him for joining GS.

It wasnt. He had 26 on sub 50% shooting in game 6 after 3 quarters when they led by 20, and then stat-padded to get the good looking 36 point total.

context

So now we're talking context.

Where was this during the 2017 Finals when Lebron did the same thing to average his triple-double?

Want to give me an explanation for Game 7 then? Or how about the Clippers game?

Game 7 was good. 2 solid games and one mediocre game dont outweigh 4 bad to shit ones.

The WCSF was a good series.

Any other questions?

That's probably why no one respected him even after he won the championship. Dude had to resort to defending himself on twitter and insta Anyone can put a metal ring on their finger and call themselves championship. It's about what obstacles you overcame to achieve it.

Reminder: Lebron was a career loser before jumping ship to form a super team with Wade and Bosh.

So in order to compete, KD joined a 73 win team.

If Bron wasn't such a bitch, KD wouldn't have been forced to out stack him. Let's point the fingers in the right direction, which is right at lebron who started this whole debacle.
