Stro, compared to the others, I don't know. But his lyrics indiviually are good. Here's some lyrics from my favorite song of his ft. Trife Da God - Milk'em.

Yo, with this game come alotta hate, but there's alotta snakes
N**gaz see the size of my ****, she'll want a bigger plate
Thinkin' I'ma fold under pressure, y'all wanna see me break
Had these n**gaz skating on ice, doing a figure eight

Twelve getting strong in the game, y'all can't touch me
I must be, made out of steel, y'all can't crush me
Watch how I paint this picture, into a mixture
With symbolic words, when they merge they form a scripture
Tone be that n*gga, I belong in the ficture
Very necessary that my robes is furry
Picture me, in the King's chair blowin' on bark
Before queens holding toothbrushes, scrubbin' my Clarks

Feedin' me grapes, give me style shakes, Frosted Flakes
Flood the plate, twenty four karats that intake
I'm all over the globe, like water in moat
Cocaine cookouts over portable stoves

Bolded lines are just killer.

Them pen, how the meter spray
Happy wife-beater day, don't touch my, cheeba hay
Get off my D-I, then go C the K's (case)
'Scuse me Mr. D.J., please play "Fish"
Or that "CherChez", live meeting, ten four, may day-may day
Callin' all cars, callin' all cars
We have an APB on Starks and Trife the God
We left the jewelry store, feelin' like we left the morgue
We was frozen, and I brought an iced out Trojan
That's for ******* whose golden, who got Toney wide open
I put my ring up to my man's waves and seen an ocean
Move like a wolf, kid, in sheep's clothing
Snatch the money bag off the milk truck and kept boating
I be potent like ibuprofen, I be coastin'
With two shotties on me, in your grimiest lobby smokin'

most wu listeners would agree with me.. ODB was a very smart dude, just a little crazy with his lyrics sometimes. have you ever heard the song "diesel"? great example of ODBs deep lyrics.

the lyrics people are posting arent nearly as deep as other wu stuff... listen to B.I.B.L.E. by killa priest, a day to god is 1,000 years by rza, masta killa on wu gambinos, breaker breaker by gza... that stuff is deep.

I assume we are going with our favorite at the current time (the last year or so), not of all-time, so I am going with:

Nas
Apathy
Talib Kweli
Sean Price
Buckshot
Von Pea
Big Pooh and Phonte
Murs
Aceyalone
AZ
Brother Ali
Slug
Mike Shinoda
GZA
Black Thought
K-Os
Young Jeezy

Those are some that I can think off just off the top of my head.

ghostface >>> odb lyrically.

this verse (from gza's '4th chamber' is out of this world):

[Verse One: Ghostface Killah]
The only man a hoe wait for
is the sky-blue Bally kid, in eighty-three, rocked Taylor's
My Memorex performed tape decks, my own phone sex
Watch out for Haiti *****es, I heard they throw hex
Yo, Wu whole platoon is filled with rac-coons
Corner sittin wine ****** sippin Apple Boone,
this ain't no white cartoon
Cuz I be duckin crazy spades
The kid hold white ****, like blacks rock ashy legs
Why is the sky blue? Why is water wet?
Why did Judas, rat to Romans while Jesus slept? Stand up
You're out of luck like two dogs stuck
Iron Man be sippin rum, out of Stanley Cups, unflammable
Noriega, aimin knives which stay windy in Chicago
spine-tingle, mind boggles
Kangols in rainbow colors, promoters try to hold dough
Give me mine before Po, wrap you up in so-and-so
I ran the Dark Ages, Constantine and great Henry the Eighth
Built with Ghengis Khan, the wreck suede Wally Don

nothing ODB has written touches that. abstract yet meaningful, and creative as all hell.

or how about

Bottles goin off in the church, we broke the wine
slapped the pastor, didn't know Pop had asthma
He pulled out his blue bible, change fell out his coat
Three condoms, two dice, one bag of dope
Oooh! Rev. ain't right, his church ain't right
Deacon is a pimp, tell by his eyes
Mrs. Parks said, "Brother Starks, meet you at the numbers spot
Heard you got red tops out, and I want a lot"
Shirley fainted dead on the spot
Two ushers slipped eighty dollars right out the pot
Oh ****!

??

c'mon, dude

you act like i'm not allowed to prefer beneath the surface. its a great album, one of my favorites, and i enjoy listening to it more than i enjoy listening to liquid swords.. whats the big deal? its not like i said i dont like liquid swords.

these ODB lyrics are amazing
Quote:
I need help
Because the black man is God
The government is after me
And the worst is, black man is the Devil
I need help
So this is to bring everything in the
Someone help me please
universe within the light
Someone help me!
Understanding
They already did 2Pac
My children, all six billion humans
Biggie Smalls
on the planet Earth
Someone help me!
Regardless of who or what, I love you
Someone help me please!
Word is bond, I love you

Ahh! I'ma ******* for life, about nine wife
All the babies are mine, save a child life
No more doctors deliverin my babies
Stick in pins killing me slowly
To the President you say I'm a welfare fraud
you mother****ing right! Let's burn this dark house white!
Insecure about my ding-dong, married to Babylon
My queen lookin at me like a pawn!

Quote:
An ugly thirty-six chamber degree, what, you wanna rhyme?
Deep bring 600 ABC through the love white hate line
I'm telling you tornado, 42 billion thought travel
The year 90's parallel, controls to the wakes
I dig woman's stomach swell, my borough is dark
Many lights UFO kites, Benjamin Franklin got it right
Abraham I stuck your cherry tree
Your white head came out my black *****
I ran Rip Van Winkle on all fours
Mountains twinkle twinkle star, Tarzan in a jar
And then came out Jane Flintstone in my gravel pit
