If you go through your entire life believing that you simply cease to be at the end of it, great, more power to you, but that is not a road of happiness. I guarantee it. There's no such thing as a happy atheist. I've never met a single one. They all have deeply unresolved anger. Agnostics aren't necessarily angry, but their road isn't happiness either. Atheists are straight angry. Without fail, 100% of the time.

Whether you believe in creationism or that this is all an accident and we've arrived here, at this point in time, as we currently are, strictly through evolution, there's no denying that human beings in 2018 are either designed or still in the evolutionary spot of serving/worshiping. There is no debating this. You would have to be an absolute fool to deny it.

The creation of religion is only a couple thousand years old... so no, we are definitely not designed in any way to believe in God

Dude, like I said, either designed... or evolved to. I'm not arguing for or against. I'm saying that human beings need to believe in something higher than themselves to find happiness, and it is absolutely correct.

Evolution doesn't happen in a few thousand years

Also, there are plenty of happy atheists. Happiness is something that derives from genetics and circumstances. Coming to the logical conclusion that religions are bullshit doesn't automatically make someone an unhappy person. That's totally ****ing ludicrous to say

Actually evolution does happen in a few thousand years... and a few hundred years... and 50 years... and millions of years if not billions of years. I can see the difference in intelligence levels in each successive generation in my family, for instance. It's noticeable, and not a coincidence.

Are you an atheist? If so, I guarantee you're angry.

Happiness depends on a variety of different factors. (health, gut flora, social status, genetic factors, etc)

To say the belief or lack of belief in a God is the determining factor of happiness might be the most retarded thing ever uttered on the internet.

And if we wanna use anecdotal evidence, we can do that too because I grew up believing in God. My parents weren't overly religious but the belief in a God was there. Did it give me comfort or more happiness? No, it actually stressed me out to know there was someone constantly watching and judging me. I used to stay up at night dreading living for eternity... the idea of that scared the shit out of me. And then you factor in the devil/hell and it was definitely unwarranted stress on me

It was a great relief once I started using the internet and finding the actual truth. I gravitated towards the logic that youtube atheists and other figures displayed and was 'happer' for it.

Personally Idc if we exist or not after this life. It's called living in the moment and enjoying my life on earth as a human being. Whatever happens after death is out of everyones control. Smart people don't let what happens after death dictate their life in the present and you're totally foolish to imply you absolutely NEED a belief in a higher power to be happy. That is just ****ing stupid beyond belief

This is why people remain anonymous on this board. Can you imagine how many lawsuits guys like BR would be trying to come at you with?

That poor guy gets mindfvcked on the regular constantly making new accounts and as a result he'd somehow try to say posters on ISH were responsible for his personal panic attacks.

There is no such thing as mental health issues. That's just nonsense that puzzy crackers made up so they wouldn't be looked down on for being worthless to society. (ie Cuckforlife)

I used to smoke a lot of pot as a teenager. It got to the point where I wouldn't eat or drink on schedule but I would smoke all day. After a few years of bad habits I started to have panic attacks. They came out of nowhere. It felt like I was going to die because of my heart beat. Shit was horrifying.

I quit smoking pot then got a job and started eating and drinking water regularly. Haven't had one since. What you put in your body can trigger an illness. Maybe Kevin has been taking supplements for a long time and its becoming his poison.

Excessive drug use can throw off your brain's dopamine levels, which can lead to anxiety and panic. Same thing from too much of anything pleasurable. Another reason anxiety levels are rising is because of technology. Excessive phone, internet, porn use etc... also messes with your dopamine and dopamine receptors, which significantly increases anxiety if not creating outright panic.

Your brain gets a hit of dopamine for every webpage you click, every text you send or receive, every search, everything. All of it.

The losers on this board can relate to depression and mental health, they can not however relate to having sex.
