The streaking 76ers should be poised for a deep playoffs run even this early on in the next step of "The Process," but I expect speed bumps on that trek as early as this series. This Miami Heat team is scrappy, and they'll compete well while Embiid will be a more moderate factor in the series (ruled out for at least Game 1 and will likely have a bit of a rust to shake off whenever he returns).

While "The Process" has been overall rewardful for the 76ers, the drawback is that it has stunted them not just within the purview of the playoffs but also for developing their crunch-time habits: the 76ers rank #23 in fourth-quarter scoring despite playing at one of the fastest-paced tempos, and I'm sure most of us remember their nearly mountainous collapse against the Cavaliers just one week ago. That inexperience and misdevelopment most likely won't be fatal for them in this match-up, but it could be enough to extend the series.

This experienced, feisty Heat team will capitalize to a decent extent when/if the 76ers let their growing pains hinder them, so it should be a good learning experience and hopefully seminal to a deep run this year.

However long it takes for the 76ers to take care of their business, I'm just praying that Embiid returns healthily and that the team won't inopportunely be injury-plagued.

Bottom-line prediction: 76ers in 6.

With Joel Embiid out, the key to victory is in the hands of the Homie.

He has now gotten over his elbow injury from this courageous and genius play and is back to his best.

Against the Bucks he looked like he wanted his ROTY award back and took Giannis to school

The Sixers are the best rebounding team in the league but without Embiid, Dario needs to bring it against the physical Miami defense. The key here is his offensive rebounding. Most notably off long 3 point misses, providing 2nd looks for the shooters. Dario is great on the O boards but will need to be at his best for the 76ers in this series.

Still a heap of uncertainty that makes it difficult to predict how this series will play out.

But if Dario is hitting from the outside and crashing the boards Miami have no chance.

Sixers in 5.

Miami has not been consistent at all this year. They've fallen ass-backwards into the playoffs with a lousy 12-9 finish. Luckily for them, the Wizards and the Bucks were even worse. Miami can slow down the game, throw two extremely physical defenders at Ben Simmons, but they lack the necessary firepower to score efficiently.

The 76ers have been extremely clutch this season, going 11-3 in games within 5 points, and scored quite efficiently (127.7 points per 100 possessions in the clutch). They've also been extremely stubborn on defense (90.4 points per 100 possessions).

So they'll out-execute the unreliable Heat easily.
Philadelphia in four.

The Heat have never won a series where they did not have homecourt advantage.

Having said that, I think this can go 7. Miami can matchup with Embiid and Simmons and not many teams can say that.

Sixers in 6.

I can see them losing this too (lack of experience). Miami is a dangerous team.

Spo is going to expose this Sixers team especially Simmon's outside shooting.
