Default Still think Bonds will get it done?

I'm sure this thread has gone around several times. For now, let's save the steroids for another thread.

Do you think Bonds will get the record this season?
He only has 2 hr in the last 6 weeks. He was on pace to hit over 50 hr. for the season as of early May. Now he's on pace to hit 31 and declining.

I honestly don't think he'll get it; his body can no longer last a season. Unless he can take a month to fully heal from his nagging injuries, he won't make it.

He'll get it. It's a long season, and he'll somehow find a way to squeeze out the necessary number of homeruns.

I hope this is his last season. He just looks bad. He's really old and has slowed down considerably in the past few years. The Giants have pretty much given up on the notion of team success in order to garner the publicity from this chase.

He'll break the record. He's stronger than what he looks. He just needs to hit at his own pace. Only he knows how to get back on track. The guy is a pro, he'll get it done.

He's at 747 right now, so all he needs is 9. Unless he has a career ending injury, it'll happen.

The only thing I'm hoping for is Bonds to drop dead at 754.

I don't wish death on anyone...but it would be great if he had some kind of career ending injury right at 754...like a heart attack to remind him and everyone else that roids can kill you.

Considering all the facts, it's not malicious at all. Honestly, if Bobby was alive to see his son go through this, he'd wish he was dead.

I honestly don't hate the guy, but he will not stay healthy a full month. I'm just saying he won't get it this year, but I can see him come back as DH.
He'll keep hitting 3 a month or so.

Either way, A-rod has a great shot of breaking it before he turns 40.
