Thumbs down Joakim Noah Is Just Like Mark Madsen

http://chicagosports.chicagotribune....ulls-headlines

Noah's arc
I was talking to an NBA big man's coach and asked about Florida's Joakim Noah, whom the Bulls looked at Friday. "I see him as a mid- to low first-round pick," the coach said. That's not exactly where most of the mock drafts—which Noah generally scorns as uninformed—have the Florida center. The coach likened Noah to Mark Madsen, the Timberwolves reserve. And though Madsen is listed two inches shorter, they did have similar statistics in college with Madsen averaging 10.9 points and 7.9 rebounds in his Stanford career and Noah 12 points and 8.4 rebounds. "Their skill is energy," the coach said. If given the choice between Noah and Hawes, the coach said he'd want Hawes for his NBA potential. He likened Hawes to Clippers center Chris Kamen.

Idiot. That's what this big man coach is.

Kaman and Hawes aren't anything alike. Noah right now is better than Madsen ever was. I guess Madsen and Iverson are alike too because they both bring energy.

Joakim Noah is a combination of Boris Diaw and Anderson Varejao. Any other assesment is just plain wrong.

Noah could beat Dirk 1 on 1 in the playoffs.

Wrong. Noah does a lot more than Varejao and only has one thing in common with Noah. Bad assesment, Ced.

Chris Bosh would too.

Noah only has one thing in common with Noah? Nice job hippos.

Noah has the same energy that Anderson brings to the court, and does some similar things to him. Noah also can handle the ball somewhat, and is a fairly good passer. The reaso nwhy I also compared him to Diaw.

Explain why it is wrong zoo animal.

Neither Verajao or Diaw play defense like Noah can.

Neither rebound like Noah can.

Verajao plays in the paint and doesn't score, Diaw can play in the paint and outside and scores a bit, Noah is similar to Diaw a bit in this case, but will play in the paint more and will be a much bigger part of any offense than either.

Noah is a hustle player like Verajao, but isn't one because he can't do anything else like Verajao.

Noah is more athletic than Verajoa and Diaw.

Noah is a much better shooter than Verajao. Won't take shots from as far away as Diaw does.

Diaw has better handles while Verajao has much worse handles.

Noah is much quicker than both.

So the only things in common are hustle and passing.

I don't think taking two players who are not alike at all and putting them together is a way to describe someone's game.

worst case for noah is varejao that blocks shots instead of flopping. Maybe also tyson chandler. But not madsen.

why would he project him as mid 1st rounder if he expects him to be "Madsen"? idiot.

You know I hope Noah plummets and the Nets get a chance at him. That would make my draft.

A hybrid of two players. Not exactally rare. Someone that posesses a mixture of skilsl from two players.

Find one single comparison for Noah. Tyson Chandler doesn't have the ball handling, passing or mid range touch.

Anderson Varejao doesn't have any of those things or the shot blocking instincts.

Boris Diaw has similar handles and passing, but his shooting range extends out further. Noah should have about as much skill on the block as Diaw, so not that much.

Don't know why you guys find it so hard to understand that someone can posess a mixture of skills from two players.

What does the best draft site around (draftexpress.com) say about Noah?

I don't think anyone should draft that guy unless there is no one else you are interested in in this draft. He is of course going to be better than a second round pick, but there is a list of great prospects, he looks like the fat kid out of all of them.

If you good draft pick and you pick Noah, you wasted your pick.

Find it appalling that you think Marcus Camby is like Anderson Varejao. I understanding mixing players, but Varejao and Diaw? I see Diaw, but Varejao? Other than being 6-10ish athletic and very bouncy hair.
