yes, yes... I posted the 15 mpg (not miles per hour) in a different thread. So pardon the "like I said"... but I also never said anything about the guy starting all the time, ANYWHERE

You know, when I finally looked at the stats...6points, 4 boards. He must have brought an astounding level of intangible to have been the first half's best player. Also, a tip on your blog: It'd have been nice if you mentioned something about the team NY was playing against. You could read your article and come away not even knowing who the opponent was.

Any positive input...? Unless you just hated everything about my blog, a tip is always better taken with positive input beside it.

Like this: Yes, I left out who they were playing. To me, it is unimportant since there was noone of note (like Amare Stoudemire last night), but I should have included it nonetheless for others. That being said, you could have also included something you liked about the blog.

On the internet, it is easy to lose the type of people skills necessary for normal human interaction, often times making internet conversation very unpleasent.

Well, I, uh, liked the colors, and, um, it was written in English. I'm a big fan of English...hyuk-hyuk, just kidding. Sort of. On the positive side, you're extremely positive about the Knicks at a time when most people wouldn't be (a fact that you're probably aware of). There is a danger that people will either think that you're retarded or the Knicks' Stephen Colbert. Pulling off a positive Knicks' blog that gains the respect of the general bball viewing public is impossible. But, I think that you're mainly aiming for Knicks' fans, and if they're the only people you aim to have as regular readers then what you're doing could be a success.

I think it is the obstinate basketball fan that would think I am retarded. In other words, the people that listen to other people in "the sports world" who don't base their opinion off of what they see on the court. They listen to what other people that they respect say... who, when talking about the Knicks, more often than not they base their opinion off of not much else besides the Knicks' season last year.
Related to ^ - Stephen A. ripping the pick of Renaldo Balkman, when in reality he had never seen the man play. A lot of these guys get payed to talk, and unfortunately they do not always know what they are talking about. People listen to them, and if they are not capable of forming their own opinions + are hardheaded, base their entire opinion off of what they hear.

Now that that's over with... True, I am a Knicks fan, and there is certainly somewhat of a focus on the Knicks, but it isn't a Knicks blog. Just on the front page, only 1/5 articles are on the Knicks.

and also lacks a jump shot.

Jason Kidd has had that on his scouting report his entire career, hasnt stopped him being one of the best PG's in the league for his entire career also. TJ Ford also has that on the scouting report.

They should have taken Williams, but it isnt a bad pick. Lets be honest, most guys taken in the 20's arent great players, they are roleplayers or out of the league at the end of their contract, despite the fact that for the most part its the best GM's drafting in the 20s. If Balkman plays 10 years, and he is the kind of guy to stick around, then its a good pick. If Williams becomes a star, then it looks bad, but no worse than the other teams who also let him slide, and NY has a lot of PGs, even if none of them are any good. Also, it still isnt as bad a pick as Atlanta taking a guy who is either a very undersized center or a 7th man with the 5th pick, but no where near as much is being said on that. Isiah has a good record with his picks, very good really, its the rest of the GMing thing that he has been awful at, most notably his chemistry and cap management.

How do you know? At Georgetown, Jerome Williams was at the very least twice the player than Balkman ever was.

You keep trying to rationalize that pick but you can't deny it was an immense reach as a lot of NBA people are saying that Balkman would still be availble at the tail end of the draft.

I know because I have watched them both play...

Many people can say whatever they want. All they need is 1 team to want him picks 21-28, and there was no guarentee nobody did. I'll say it again... He was there, they wanted him, they took him.

Sorry, but no one on this board has seen Renaldo Balkman play at South Carolina has much as I have.

No way in hell is he worth that first round in any way, shape or form. In no way is he better than or even as good as Jerome Williams.

End of discussion. He probably is just better than Louis Amundson who went undrafted.

NYKnicks914 seems to be a very good poster. However, I have also seen Balkman and Amundson play both are hustle guys but Amundson is the better overall talent. NYKnicks914 is not taking into account value. At 20 there was some really good talent still on the board- S.Brown, A.Johnson, J.White and M.Williams. Nobody would have taken Balkman with a no.1 pick it was a reach.
Zeke may have felt he needed this guy as a practice player to change the culture but he should not have picked him at 20.

Nothing I said was inaccurate.

He couldn't start at SOUTH CAROLINA. I don't think they made the NCAA tournament the entire time he was there.

I guess we need to start looking for guys who make a good run in the N-I-fuccking-T now.

When spree made this cut he would usually finish it with two hands. But look at the quickness balkman displays, he even jumps off two feet like spree. watch him in the open floor and it actually looks like he can run as fast dribbling the ball as he can without it just like spree.
