Oh and stop making excuses for his sorry performances. Just 4 games ago after scoring 48 points.....this guy was being anointed as the G.O.A.T.

he was annointed as GOAT by the Cleveland version of you: Ass Clown Homers.

Unfortunately for the rest of us normal ISH folks, there are more of you (Ass Clown Kobe Homers) than there are Ass Clown Lebron Homers.

Kobe Bryant dominated a younger, more athletic Bruce Bowen just a few years ago in the playoffs. Bowen is giving LeBron the open look from the perimeter. Dude just can't make a jumper to save his life. Kobe would average 38+ against this SAME Bruce Bowen right now.

nice logic.

how about this?

Prince looked like a defensive god on Kobe in the 2004 finals. only he got torched by Wade and Manu in 05, Wade again in 06 and Lebron this year.

kobe would average 38+ but they'd still be down 3-0 and the rest of the guys have crappier series than they already are.

This proves that you don't know sh!t. The Pistons threw double/triple teams at Kobe in 2004....while LeBron was not only SINGLE-covered in this past Detroit series, AND by a much smaller PG in Chauncy Billups.

Oh BTW, LeBron had only ONE "breakout" game vs Detroit. Stop acting like he put up 40 points in all 6 games.

Was that the same year that the Spurs had Shaq, Malone and Gary Payton?

Half my posts on this forum have been correcting people who think that Lebron has a jumer. He doesn't, he has a horrible form and release. He just jacks the ball up and leans back. Looks like a bunny jumping out of a tree when he shoots.

That's what I'm talking about. Kobe is the only player that has that perfect jump shot like Jordan. That release is ideal. Lebron doesn't have it. It's reminds me of the Bobby Knight movie on ESPN where he makes that kid change his form and the kid starts sucking. Well it's time for Lebron to learn how to shoot.

Tony Parker did it, so should he.

Lebron is having bad shooting nights, but lets not forget who is guarding him: a two time DPOY runner up who is also a first team all defender, Bruce Bowen. its not like he is being guarded by some scrub. Bruce does a good job of harrassing lebron and lebron never gets into his comfort zone. by the time lebron gets some rhythm going its too late.

good point.. btw, i think youre a good poster. i guess you take on your teams personality of calm, clear thoughts..

but yeah, i think lebrons bad shooting is a combination of 1) his not being a great jumpshooter to begin with, and 2) finals jitters. Of course, Bruce Bowen's defense is a large part of this, but as other posters have mentioned, they're giving him those jumpshots and he's simply unable to knock them down.

i think lebron should and will take much of this next off-season to work on that jumper, as he must now realize that he can't get by on his brute strength/blazing speed combo alone.

learning that jumper would add such depth to his game, and IMO, land him in that "Unguardable" category with Bryant, Duncan, and Wade. not saying that those players are neccessarily better than Lebron, but they are more unguardable IMO because they incorporate so many different skills into their game that you can't just "take one away."

Lebron's jumper will continue to get better and it has already come a long way. The fact that he is young and that he is still actively refining his game certainly needs to be taken into account. I think his problem has been that his athleticism gives him such a large advantage, he tends to rely on that, and as a result, hasn't really focused on his jump shot. Necessity is the mother of invention; we saw it with Amare. I would hope that after this series, in watching tape of his performances, Lebron would see the importance of having a better jumper. At the very least, it would give some of you less to hate on.

Lebron is not a shooting guard. he is not going to win a championship shooting jumpers. he knows that so he's uncomfortable with trying to win it that way. Lebron has a decent jumper but not a win every game that way jumper. he needs an SG or PG with that jumper so there is less pressure. consistent scorers around any good player makes it easier to make those shots.

as far as Jordan, Lebron will never be who Jordan was but that doesnt mean he cant be a great or even better player. he's just going to have to do it differently.

I GOT GAME, at least point out in your objective analysis that he has scored well once he's gotten inside in the last two games. people might think youre just trying to be negative.

Lebron needs to work on his jumper thats obvious, but he also needs to start taking control of games instead of letting the game come to him. Some times that a good game plan but this is the finals and you were down 0-2 you don't wait you act and he didn't so jumper never got hot and they are now down 0-3. 2-27 thats just horrible but thats not surprising seeing the way he is playing.

This is the most important thing Lebron has to learn.... There were points in the game where Lebron should have taken the game over and he flat out didnt do it...

How many rebounds did he get where he could have push the ball and drove to the rack? I counted at five times he pushed the ball and then stopped to wait for somebody else to pass to...

WTF was he thinking? You gotta take advantage of San Antonio in transition...they are a great half court team and easy transition pts can mean the difference between winning and losing...

he is just too passive at times....

james has me yellin at my TV "PUSH THE ROCK!" "MAKE SOMETHING HAPPEN"

This is not the Detroit Pistons... The Spurs arent gonna "give" the Cavs anything..Lebron has to take it and he is failing that test....

I give him credit for getting this far, but he is not ready to take the mantle yet

it is the duty of the coach to instill this stuff in his players.

Mike Brown really couldn't be worse. all the things that are Lebron's flaws except maybe his jumper would be fixed if he had a good to great coach. he would look like the best player in the league with almost any other system, coach, cast.

Mike Brown shouldnt have to tell Lebron to take responsibility for the team at a point like this...Lebron knows his role on the cavs is the best player and the leader of the team...Coach shouldt have to tell you to "do your thing" in the finals when you are down 0-2 and your chance to have any chance at all is slipping away before your eyes.....In fact Mike Brown was helping Lebron out by going small and putting Lebron at the 4... It was forcing him to play down low where he needs to play....he should be punishing Bruce bowen down there

I do think Mike Brown should have called a timeout during that 4:00 stretch where the Cavs were shooting these jumpers and clanking them all...

the Cavs rebound the ball well and could actually be competing with the Spurs and making this a good series if they would get serious about what the Spurs are giving them...
