Cause he happen to land in the perfect team when he got drafted?

Nash would be playing for a Ship' right now if his team didnt get screwed but thats another conversation...

Nash clearly makes everyone around him better and doesnt really have that much talent around him as some of you guys make it out to be.

Suns without Nash = Lottery team

Spurs without Duncan = 7 seed in the West

Spurs without Duncan > Suns without Nash

Barbosa/James
Bell
MArion/JJ
Duncan/Diaw
Amare

Team Duncan wins championships with that team

Nick Van
Finley
Antoine Jamison
Dirk
Duncan

Duncan still wins a championship

Yes he's still top 5.

1. Duncan
2. Kobe
3. Lebron
4. Nash
5. Dirk

Close but no cigar: D Wade and Garnett

Everyone else is way below IMO

I don't think the Finals drops Lebron any lower. He was not supposed to beat the Pistons yet won after going down two games to love. The Cavs were not expected to win this series and his team has simply been outclassed and overmatched against probably the best team of the decade

Just one question though, and I ask this because I see this on several top five lists. How is Dirk ranked higher over Wade given Wade/Dirks performance in last years Finals and Dirks performance this year in the playoffs?

I thought it was Duncan at first, and then saw Duncan lower on the list. I started laughing when I realized who "Duh" was.

Im going to make a thread about it...

Anyways, like I asked before, if he played with the same supporting cast that Kobe, and KG play with would you still consider him Top 1 or 2?!?!??!

I dont think so!!!!!

Granted, likely not, but there have been many players who have had great supporting casts and weren't able to get it done.

Shaq struggled in LA for his first couple of post seasons, yet he had an outstanding supporting cast. And then there's Nash, who's had a great supporting cast for three years, yet analysts and many others give him most of the credit.

It is really a matter of who was more valuable to their team this year. Dirk won the MVP, so he definitely belongs in the top 5. I know Wade was injured this year, but they still got swept. To be honest though, after Duncan, everyone is pretty much the same (give or take).
