I don't think that would motivate him. He has to go to a team that has a chance to compete for a ship.
well he won't go to a small market team, like seattle or milwaukee no mater how good they may be... i'm sure part of his nike contract is based on the market he plays in so it's going to have to be a major city...
then you have to look at the teams in those citys... knicks, bulls, 76ers, mavs. heat... and see that any team he goes to is going to be stripped of talent in a trade... so it will come down to this.. in the end...
are kobe's feelings so hurt that he'd really rather play on pluto? or is winning a ring more important and he'd be willing to go to a small market team that may give him the best chance or will he see that the financial drop off is so great that he's got to either stay in LA or take a large market team that has to strip it self of talent to get him...
money, rings or pride what will he base his decision on?
I think you send LO+#9+filler (from Chicago) to Indy for JO.
Gordon, Deng, Wallace, Duhon #9
Lakers Lineup: Duhon, Gordon, Deng, JO, Wallace
I try to look at it from both sides. Indiana wouldn't do that trade because they could probably get a better deal with NY for JO. That may be an initial offer, but if I were Indiana I wouldn't do it. The same with Chicago. They would lose too much team wise to get Kobe. There would be no bench and Kobe would be in almost the same position as with The Lakers now. Who knows? It could happen, but I wouldn't count on it. The rest of the league know the Lakers are in disarray and will not bite on first offers. I have a feeling if Kobe does ever get traded, The Lakers will most certainly not get equal value for him. Or for JO either.
are you kidding? kobe's whole life has been devoted to beating jordan's legacy, to play for the bulls he's jump at the chance...
to play there without any good players?
what's the difference between that and the current Lakers team?
he said it clear, he wants to win, at least that's what I read
I could be wrong
the only thing is that the Bulls is the only team that can make a legit offer
or actually wants Kobe
but then there's always the Knicks, sure the market size may make a different and he will not go to those cities
but if the Lakers make a move already, like I said earlier
he may choose to stay and then will be traded after next year just so the FO can get some value out of him
Kirk's huge contract extension will start to kick in next yr from what i remember. Noce will also sign a new contract. Bulls also have capspace so they can absorb the remaining $ or they sign brown to a 1yr contract then include him in a trade.
I just don't see the bulls trading gordon, wallace and deng at the same time. They'll just destroy what their building. they've seen the kobe show in LA and its obvious that kobe needs a scoring side kick and thats the role of either gordon or deng if they get kobe. And wallace is there lone center on the team.
