Question Kirk Hinrich vs. T.J. Ford

Who would you rather build a team around and why ??

Who is the best pure PG from the 2003 Draft ??

TJ Ford Stats:
PPG 14.0
RPG 3.1
APG 7.9
SPG 1.35
BPG .11
FG% .436
FT% .819
3P% .304
MPG 29.9

Kirk Hinrich Stats:
PPG 16.6
RPG 3.4
APG 6.3
SPG 1.25
BPG .29
FG% .448
FT% .835
3P% .415
MPG 35.5

VS.

Ford every day. Simply he can create much more for any team on offense regardless of his hogging abilites at times. Anyone that watched both players this year should know this.

Hinrich is better on D, but Ford doesn't really get taken advantage of and he does cause hell sometimes when he's focused on doing so.

Ford basically brings more to the table already and has more room to grow.

Hinrich is more of a PG/SG like Pistol Pete. He is also like a Steve Nash type player.

But I am going with Hinrich since he is better than T.J Ford.

You mean all-defensive team.

Anyways, I pick Ford. Hinrich is simply too inconsistent. Ford is a playmaker, a LEADER (a big up for a point guard), a solid jumper and is as quick as hell. He can be a 20/9 guy in his prime.

Won't happen on a team with Bosh and Bargnani scoring and Calderon taking minutes.

If those other three stay on the Raps then at his best I hope Ford will be a 15/10-11 player.

I say ford because he is a bit more consistant than Hinrich and he would take the game winning shot without hesistation which proves he is a leader. He is a good playmaker. Moves super quick. It might be arguable who is better now but in the future I say its going to be Ford for sure.

If Calderon leaves and TJ is the only legit PG, there's no reason he can't average 20/9 alongside Chris Bosh.

His numbers will go up, but I said if the other three stayed. If Calderon left his ppg would go up and his apg by an assist or so.

No Hinrich= No playoffs for bulls. So I'd rethink before you open your damn pothole.

That wasn't a very convincing arguement.

NJ without VC = no playoffs for NJ....yet VC is still inconsistent. Try again.

So the Bulls need Hinrich. Good for them. That doesn't mean he's better than TJ or more valuable. No Ford = no deep playoffs for the Raptors. Your point? By the way, the Bulls can still make the playoffs without Hinrich, what the hell are you talking about.

I disagree about you saying they can make the playoffs without Hinrich.

So the Bulls have Ben Gordon, Luol Deng and Ben Wallace.

If it weren't for Hinrich, the team would be at 42-40 like the Lakers did.

I have no evidence to backup the fact that Hinrich IMO is better than Ford.

Hinrich is one of those combo guards who can give you 1-2 steals a game, could also dish out 10-20 assists a game or could score 20 point a game for the team. For T.J Ford, he is one of those true PGs who can give you 15 assists a game.

Hinrich has one thing T.J Ford doesn't have, that is good defense.
