Default Michael Finley Appreciation Thread

Every year there's always that veteran player who you're happy to see them win a Championship...This year it's Michael Finley, the hardwork has payed off

If he worked so hard then maybe he could dribble a basketball to the lane without kicking it off his knee. Worst handles ever.

I always said if you could add Dirks skill with Michael Finleys heart you would have the GOAT.

So happy to see Fin get a ring.

Finley's awesome. I met him outside of the Hooters in downtown Chicago, second nicest player I've ever met. I'm glad to see he got a ring...

...and this is a nice slap to Mark Cuban too. I like Cubes, but he's a bit full of himself sometimes, so it's nice when little things like this knock him back down to Earth.

Congratulations to Finley.

First of the Mavs Big 3 to win it. Wish the Big 3 were still together (and Finley would have accepted a lesser role instead of crying about it). Damn you Cuban.

Nice to see a player like Finley win a ring with such a good team. It sounds smug, but he managed to beat out Nowitzki, Nash, and more importantly Marc Cuban to a ring. Maybe more big name FA's will consider coming to the Spurs for cheap now.

Finley started every game of the postseason, averaging 27.5 minutes per game. He broke a San Antonio Spurs record with 8 three pointers in a PO game in the first round. He finished sixth in 3PTM per game for the postseason (2.3), first in 3PTM (44), on 42.7% from beyond. The Finals may not have been his 'most productive' series, but he was great against the more-offensive Nuggets and Suns.

Congrats to you Finley
