Tip #2 - the max bench. The most popular weightlifting stat...in my opinion and past experiences, doing max bench every other week or every three weeks is much better than doing max bench every single week, especially when you hit a "wall".

On the off weeks, do incline instead and focus even more on triceps. Working equally hard on back and biceps is important too.

I disagree about your "off weeks", but for a stronger bench, it is benefitial to have stonger tris/shoulder/back. I'm currently training for a show in Seattle on August 7th ( i think 7th). I'll post pics sometime soon for you guys (no homo). I am still on the fence as to whether or not I am going to do the show, I dont seem to have the discipline this year, but I'll do my best. BTW, best site for anything (and killer message boards) www.bodybuilding.com

Well, you can't do max bench ever week. Wouldn't that be diminishing returns after a certain amount of time?

I never do max bench. I have no idea what good it is, except you can nswer when someone says "what do you bench?" I do chest once (occasionaly twice a week), I usually bench 225-235 for 6-8 reps. I have no idea what my max would be. BTW, ill quickly drop a good chest workout:

Barbell bench - 4 sets of whatever you can lift 6- 10 reps with
Incline dumbell press - ^^^^
Dips (weighted if possible) - ^^^^^
Cable crossovers - ^^^^^

That is a typical chest day for me

I don't know a lot about lifting, but isn't low reps, high weight better if you want to get bigger? Diet isn't the only difference between bulking and cutting.

The two main muscles I'm having a hard time with are inner chest and traps.

Other than shrugs and doing pec flies, what other exercises can I do?

Before each workout, I hit the treadmill for a 20-minute interval run.

I start at 6mph and every minute I go up a full number until I get to 9 (6,7,8,9), then keep repeating the cycle. I'm drenched when I'm done.
