Having A.I, Carmelo, and George Karl on an average defensive team with no outside shooting would be disasterous given the level of talent.
It could be bad. I just don't think it will. George Karl will make or break it and I think he'll make it. I think they'll come together, realize their potential and make noise. A negative Nancy stance on this matter is certainly justified. I disagree though. Obviously there's no way to know for sure.

They would need some pieces around them.

i've heard possibly cambyman, dr. dre, julius hodge and dallas 07 first-round pick (property of denver via golden state eddie najara deal, who got it from dallas in the dampier deal)

Iverson has not been traded yet. Nothing is official. But everyone in the media says that Iverson will be traded before the start of the season. Where hasn't been determined (but will probably be Boston). And I have no idea who we get back. I'm hoping there is a draft pick involved.

since u just did that and there is no link no reports nothing. Could it be that this whole thread is just BULLSH!T
No, because unlike geeWiz, Gobb never talks out of his ass; he has a top secret source, how can you doubt him?

Granted, I still think he's getting traded... not cause of what people are saying on here, but because of how the Sixers draft went mostly. And considering their bleak future.

what they should do IMO

Iverson for Foye/Davis/someone else (or a pick)

G-Foye/Ollie
G-Iggy/Carney
F-Davis/Korver
F-Webber/Hunter
C-Dalembert/Hunter

Sixers will be a young, high flying exciting team that'll probably end up in the lottery (and its one helluva year to end up in the lottery). Webber would be the lone old man but he'd be in his element with 3 young kids cutting to the hoop.

In 2008, Webber's deal ends and thats 22 million off the books. Hopefully by then the trio of Iggy,Carney, and Foye would have made some noise and they can sign another big name.

im very interested in seeing how Iggy's game evolves w/o Iverson. hopefully Carney is the Iggy clone everyone is saying.

Los Angeles Times - The early bids are in for Allen Iverson and the Los Angeles Times reportedly has the details.

Boston is offering Al Jefferson, Gerald Green, Sebastian Telfair, or anyone but Paul Pierce), Atlanta is offering Josh Smith, Marvin Williams and/or Al Harrington) and Golden State is offering any combination of three players.

Boston and Atlanta offers are appealing ones for Philly. Not that high on Al Jefferson like Celtics fan rant or sometimes overrate about that player that he'd turn out to be but Green, Telfair and Jefferson are good young guys that can make Philly's future pretty bright. Atlanta with Josh Smith and Marvin Williams i think is what the Sixers should pull the trigger on.

That's actually wrong, the Celtics aren't giving up both Al Jefferson and Gerald Green. Ask Danny Ainge!

Something elsewith AI has to be included. Why would Sixers get back Josh and Marvin when you have Iggy, Korver, Carney, Green, Salmons, B.Jones?

Billy King said no serious trade talks were happening and he lied/is lying. Danny cant do the same? I doubt they give up both players but one of them isnt out of the question. Al hasnt done anything in his career for him to be untouchable.

1.

Trade scenario:

Denver gets

Allen Iverson
Steven Hunter

Philadelphia gets

Marcus Camby
Andre Miller
Ed Najera

The Najera for Hunter swap is so Philadelphia can get rid of Hunter's contract.

2.

Trade scenario:

Philadelphia gets

Troy Murphy

Golden State gets

Samuel Dalembert

3.

Free agent scenarios:

Philadelphia signs Lorenzen Wright at MLE.

Philadelphia then has

PG: Miller, Green
SG: Iggy, Salmons
SF: Carney, Korver
PF: CWebb, Murphy
C: Camby, Wright

There is no way Josh Smith gets traded.

No way.
