Default Can someone remind me of why this was supposed to be the Mavs' year?

Even if they had met the Spurs in the playoffs, they would have been clobbered.

Mavs fans steadfastly maintain that they would have beaten the Spurs in 6 or 7.

lol

You don't think it would've been close? I'll tell you this, Spurs don't win in less than 6 games, and if that happens, every game is extremely close. Spurs in 7 I'd say, but it's no walk in the park.

Mavs are getting hated on so much from idiots with a 'what have you done for me lately' mentality.

How the hell do you even come to that conclusion? To me, it's undecided in 7.

But the mavs got the spurs number like the warriors have the mavs.

i'd say the warriors have the mavs number considerably more than the mavs have the spurs number....

Some excuses are true... Mavs had trouble with GS in the regular season too.

Anyone who thinks tha the Spurs and Mavs wouldn't get to atleat 6 games is still on a spurs playoff high.

It's the truth, but no excuse. The Mavs played very bad.

In normal shape a Spurs/Mavs series would have been exciting, the Mavericks are then only team that can beat the Spurs in best of seven.

Because people don't realize that every season takes on a life of it's own. And Dallas felt like they were entitled because they came so close.

Dirk couldn't even get past the 8th seeded Warriors.

Last year was a rare heroic year for Dirk. Those NEVER happen.

He's a choker in the post-season. He loses, he doesn't win.

Golden State cuases Dallas matchup nightmares because Dallas doesnt have a low post scoring threat, thats the only reason why.

Dallas causes San Antonio matchup problems because they are much more athletic that the Spurs, Dallas would have beaten them in 7 games if they would have meet.

Dirk choked simple as that.

They would have swept GS if Dirk wasn't such a headcase and mental idiot.

The whole team played bad man, and give Golden State some credit, everything they threw up went in the basket.

All I know is, Dirk is known to choke hard in Playoffs.

-Before Amare's injury (SUNS vs MAVS), Dirk struggles, Amare owns everyone.

-MAVS vs HEAT (finals), Dirk can't answer offensively.

-MAVS vs WARRIORS, Baron Davis dominates the whole series, possibly the best player in this year's playoff.
