Default Dont forget, when you are looking at the stars you are seing the past

dont forget that. If a star in the sky is 10,000 light years away, you are seeing what it was 10,000 years ago.

Itís like thunder. Sound travels slower than light so when you see lightning far away you see it a couple seconds before you hear it. You hear the lighting strike that you saw a couple seconds ago.

So how is the universe estimated to be 46 billion light years if the universe started 13 billion years ago...No way it could grow that big unless its faster than the speed of light

^Because it is. The universe is expanding at a faster rate than the speed of light

Which is why thereís the observable universe, then thing beyond. Thereís galaxies that we canít even see

Whatís more crazy/sad is that every message weíre sending right now to outer space, will take hundreds to thousands of years to reach any planet we think has a chance of having life there. That gap could even be up to millions of years.

So by the time they received the message if they donít have better technology than us, or are worse we wonít receive a message back for more than centuries

So in short unless life out there has figured a way to warp space and move faster than speed of light, we will be the only intelligent life species for thousands of years

The Universe is just too complex for the human mind to fathom.

There's no possible way he is sincerely asking how it's possible. This is second-grade science.

Wormholes would be the escape clause. They warp space and might be by products old blackholes which are being seen as more plentiful these days. And our souls could be subject to warped space time travel.

Wormholes are not a natural phenomenon. We’ll have to figure out a way to bend space and then keep the wormhole stable

Black holes that in principle host a white hole on the other side can act as a wormhole. But there’s the whole thing of being crushed and destroyed inside a black hole, so if you manage to come out of it from a white hole you’ll just get out as light

I would say its because the universe is expanding at a faster pace than ever.
