Black holes that in principle host a white hole on the other side can act as a wormhole. But thereís the whole thing of being crushed and destroyed inside a black hole, so if you manage to come out of it from a white hole youíll just get out as light

As a fellow Celtics fan, I note you discussing this topic intelligently, but see your Kyrie avatar, and can't help but laugh. Props man.

Have you guys seen this huge void in space? Supposedly the biggest area in the space but its just nothing there. Supposedly thats what makes it unique is that there's nowhere else in the universe where there's this much emptiness.

Yes we are far from it but it doesn't mean the universe is. We don't know what happens to the soul after death either but the ancients seemed more clued in. The great leap in contact will likely be from the others whom are more than likely getting their powers from stars other than their own. We aren't ready for wormholes. We get solar energy but rarely get much energy from gravity.

Considering the size of the Universe, Light is really really slow and, apparently nothing can go faster. Seriously, 8 whole minutes just to get to the Earth from the Sun!?

No way can we work with that in the future as a limiting factor. Light is slow as fck.

Oh yeah. I mean the universe is 3x times older than the earth, and the earth has been a hell hole if you think about it. Itís been killing species since it had the ability to bear life. You have to imagine thereís some life out there that had been established way earlier than us and had plenty of time to expand: Seeing in how so little time we have already achieved planetary travel. Somebody mentioned the voids in the universe and one fun theory is that those voids are galaxies being put under dyson machines( basically a galactic solar panel) and are hidden under it. If those species are capable of doing that then thereís gotta be technology where they can bend space and travel ftl

Speaking of souls, another fun theory is that we exist in several planes, but we can only interact with the 3rd dimensional one. That once we died we go into a 4th dimension where we canít really interact with the 3rd dimension but we can see it. Some people who believe in this think God himself is a multidimensional being or that heaven is that 4th dimension

Trippy shit

The universe that humans know is not 47 billion light years across, but more around 27 billions light years across.

The reason why this is, is because it's not moving in one direction. An explosion expands to all sides, so if it goes 14 billion years to one side, the other side is going to be 28 billion years away.

Also, even though they're all moving at the same speed, the further a galaxy is from us, the faster it's moving away.

How could that be?

Imagine 5 * separated by 5 space bars on your keyboard. Say we're the 2nd *, but doesn't really matter where we are.

(*-----*-----*-----*-----*)

If you move 1 space per minute, two minutes later...

(*-------*-------*-------*-------*)

After two minutes the two * next to us has moved two spaces away, while the 5th one has moved 6 spaces away. Even though they are moving at the same speed (spaces) per minute.

That's how we know it came from an explosion. Because the same thing will happen on different points on an explosion.

Imagine a balloon expanding.

Edit: Had to replace the spaces with - because for some reason it didn't show after posting.

There is a 100% chance of intelligent life out there however due to our self destructive aggressive monkey nature there are few that would dare get near us

Yeah, I mean does life really evolve off survival of the fittest shit? We probably had to evolve that way because our planet is always aggressively trying to kill us or meteors fall on us all the time

What if life on other planets evolved more peacefully? They probably will see us as super monsters who will not hesitate to kill them an enslaved them. Shit probably UFOs have been here or nearby and decided to nope tf out of this planet after seeing what we’re capable of

In short we’re the saiyans/kryptonian of the universe minus the technology

Yeah, that whole predator thing! Imagine another life form that didn't have that in their past and then they see us using nuclear bombs to kill each other. They are probably like the trees don''t mind being eaten.

Technically, when you're looking at anything you are seeing the past.
