Delfino was solid but not a good fit in detriot, he doesnt fit wit the system and most of the time he was out there he seemed lost. He also tried to force things alot. Im not too sad about seeing him go but i think we could have gotten alot more for him.

Great trade for the Raps. Don't know what the hell Detroit is thinking.

This means Mo-Pete re-signing is a definate no

Detroit didn't use him right. He's a guy that needs the ball in his hands to create for others or take it to the rim. He's weakness is his inconsistent Jumper. Saunders, a genius head coach, used him as a spot up shooter. LOL. Just watch Delfino explode.

Now watch Sam Mitchell make a star out of him in Toronto. One thing's certain.. he won't ask him to be the shooter (that Sanders tried to make him..) but he'll utlilize his strong drives to the basket to the fullest.

Bookmark this thread and refer to it in Nov/Dec.. And tell me if Sam has helped raise this guy's stocks or not. Come summer 2008 and Delfino will be up for a major pay raise.

Delfino's BEEN asking to be traded all season. Finally, they trade him for something. He's a very good player. A starter on most of the bottom-feeders. And a sixth man on some teams right now. I don't see any defense from him though.

Uh, his strength is defense. He's a very good perimter defender. He locked down some great players. He's really underrated. He was buried behind RIP and Prince for 3 years there and was used improperly. Trust me, he'll be pretty good. He'll have a Boris Diaw type breakout and Saunders/Dumars are gonna look silly for letting a young stud go for NOTHING.

You guys are crazy, this is a good move for Detroit. Delfino hasn't gotten any better since he arrived. Minute improvement at best.

He is a solid defender and that's it.

He is an average to poor shooter.

He shy's away from putting it on the floor and going to the hoop.

When he does put it on the floor he turns it over way to much.

And for the most part he has a poor attitude, and complains constantly in the media about his situation, but rarely puts anything together when he gets on the floor for more than 10 minutes.

How exactly is it a "good" move for Detroit? Even if Delfino is no stud, what are the chances of getting anything from 2 late second rounders?

Maybe if Detroit could get Mopete somehow in a sign-n-trade deal.. then one could say that yes it was a good deal for Detroit.
