i had a feeling this would happen....i think LA will fall for the JO and Murphy trade for Odom, Bynum and Brown, which would probably put them even more behind...its either that or Kobe will asked to be out...both ways theyre screwed...if Kobe wants out, send him to Celtics, they have the most assets any team would want...

How would getting JO and Murphy put them behind, except regarding contracts. On the court they should be tough to beat

This whole Kobe thing is stupid, why should anybody take what he takes serious?

And one other thing, its not a black and white thing whats going on with Kobe here. He asked for a trade, then said he'd reconsider but he wants to see changes.

I dont see any quotes from Buss or Kobe here so Im going to wait to find out more but this article doesnt say anything we dont already know.

No moves = Kobe wanting out. Moves & commit to winning = Kobe reconsidering.

Thats all there was to it.

Well, there was confusion. Did he still want to stay? Did he want to leave? Does he still want to be a Laker for life? I guess not.

I'm pretty sure this is what happened. Kobe met with Buss, Buss told Kobe that they won't get J.O because the asking price is too much so he told him to be patient with Bynum and Kobe said no trade me.

Bryant pushing for trade

LAKERS: Buss is said to be shocked after a meeting with his All-Star guard in Spain.

10:00 PM PDT on Friday, June 15, 2007

By BRODERICK TURNER
The Press-Enterprise

Disgruntled Lakers guard Kobe Bryant met with Lakers owner Jerry Buss on Friday in Barcelona, Spain, and reiterated his demand to be traded, two league sources said.

Buss was shocked by Bryant's continued and defiant stance, the sources said, and left the meeting unsure if he would give in to Bryant's demands or if he would keep the All-Star, knowing it'll be "impossible" to get equal value in return.

The Lakers confirmed Friday night that Bryant and Buss did meet. Bryant was in Barcelona on vacation, and Buss was on vacation in China before going to London and then to Barcelona.

Another article. BTW, some dude named emplay(most laker fans know him) got the story out like 5 hours before and everyone was bashing him but I guess he was right.

that would make sense. I dont blame Kobe if that was the case either. Who would approve wasting their prime like that? especially someone like Kobe

sorry, kwame, bynum, lamar filler and a pick are too much to trade and to get stuck with murphys crappy contract too.. kobe your the best but crippling the team for 4 more years finacially to get knocked out of the second round isn't worth it...

Kobe wants to go to three teams. Chicago, NY and ? Emplay won't expose the other team. I wonder who it can be. Some are saying Charlotte.
