Cool Everybody calm down about the Laker trades

Why can't people just calm down about the Kobe trade talks?

Jeez. Jerry Buss clearly doesn't have the backbone to actually trade Kobe. If he can't get any of the all-stars that Kobe wanted, how can he get rid of Kobe? Jerry Buss must have a good reason to not trade Kobe. The money talks is no exception.

Even if Kobe does get traded, the Lakers will probably receive some good talented players ala bulls.

so lets all calm down and relax until the Kobe trade actually happens.

I'm very calm right now cuz I just ate lunch, corned beef, rye bread, jalapeno, mayo, pickles, and I'm washing it down with coors light, my girlfriend is cleaning up the house in her underwear, life is good.

I don't think its that everyone has signed off on Kobe Bryant leaving. I believe its that a lot of people would prefer he stay and are secretly hoping he will continue to be a Laker, but they don't want to hearts broke (so to speak). They are preparing for the worst, which if its a trade with Chicago isn't that bad for true laker fans, and hoping for the best.

I personally would love to see Kobe stay a Laker and the team go out and get a low-post threat like JO or Gasol. But I am prepared for Kobe to be on another team and I accept that its a possibility.

This is my first message as a new member. I have an idea for a trade that might add enough to the team to convince Kobe to want to stay:

Rasheed Wallace (who may be on the trade block) for Kwame Brown and Laker's #19 pick

an alternative that Detroit may insist upon, and may still be a good idea for Lakers:

Rasheed Wallace and Detroit's #14 pick for Andrew Bynum and Kwame Brown

What do you think?
