he performed okay... it's how badly the rest played that made him look so good that he could get MVP... i feel Bowen deserves it more though... maybe Horry... without Horry Nash wouldn't get bumped (here we go again) Amare wouldn't leave his bench and wouldn't get suspended... suns would have won Game 5 and pushed that series to 7 games where they are at home and will likely win... thus moving on the beat the Jazz and destroy the Cavs... winning their 1st title and Nash would get MVP///

so... no Horry = no championship!

That looks exactly like this year. Maxwell has a good series, Bird doesnt get his usual points and as a result the secondary player gets all the credit even though he certainly wasnt more valuable to the team and didnt play better. Duncan's is even more evident because of the whole defense thing.
