Default Melo>Bron. The playoffs proved it.

What better way exists to gauge who is better than examine their comparative play in the playoffs against the best team, and best defense in the NBA (spurs). Melo was outstanding in the Spurs series, not possessing quite the athleticism of Bron but fundamentals "the king" will never dream of, specifically a silky-smooth jumper, ever-expanding range, and far better handles.

Melo puts up 26 on almost 50 percent shootiong, Bron puts up what 17 on 35 percent? This is in the playoffs, against the same team. Its pretty clear that Melo is the superior player.

You think Melo could have did what LeBron did vs Detroit.

I don't think so.

'Melo had his fair of playoff peformances that were subpar. It's not a fair comparison because both have showed they can play way below expectations in a playoff series. So what exactly does 'Melo have over LeBron? He played better against the champions?

That can easily be countered by numerous things LeBron has done, like lead his team to the finals, basically beat the Pistons by himself in a pivital game, etc.

Carmelo was guarded by finley because bowen was guarding iverson and Finley is a horrible defender.

Melo couldn't even get his team out of the first round with AI.

Melo would have NEVER done what Bron did to Detroit. Melo doesn't have the heart.

Not to mention the unfair advantage Melo had over James, being that he has a really strong supporting cast. Denver is very deep and has ballers at every possition. James had an unproven rookie that hit some big shots and that was it. Unfair comparrison. I'd take Lebron over Mello 8 days a week.

Great reasoning.

But by looking at your screen name, I can tell that this is completely biased.

Melo greater than Bron at jumpshooting. Thats about it. I'd take either one on my team though.

That doesnt really matter considering they both lost to the same team except Denver didnt get swept.

I think Lebron is definetly better but by saying that "melo couldnt get out of the first round" is absolutely stupid. They both got raped by the NBA champions. If the cavs had faced the spurs in the first round they wouldve got smacked around the same way Denver did.

Atleast Carmelo got a win against the Spurs and played well despite being defended by Bowen. LeBron's ass got swept.

Bowen was guarding Iverson the majority of the time.

Despite bowen not guarding him, the spurs still play really good team defense and he should still get credit for playing well against the spurs. You shouldnt just totally dismiss his play because bowen wasnt gaurding him.
