Never heard of Shammond Williams?

Wow. Somebody is YOUNG.

Serioulsy though, this is a good signing by the Lakers. Shammond is a very seasoned guy.

Default This is great

Well, suffice it to say that I am a longtime Seattle Sonic fan which means I hate the Lakers worse than just about any other team. It also means that I watched Shammond attempt to play NBA basketball on my team for 3 years.

I will say this in all fairness: He can score. He can take anyone off the dribble, like a poor mans A.I., yet he dribbles too much, can't play the point (he won't pass it, and with you already having the NBA's biggest ball hog in Kobe, there may be issues....). So, he is a very short, fast SG in a PG's body. His outside shot is ok, but not great. He does put the ball in the hole though with his drives.

I wouldn't want him on my team.

why is it a "good signing"? yes, he's seasoned...meaning he's 31. he has never stuck with an NBA team, for a reason. waste of money.

The Lakers seem to love taking cheap alternatives that have no chance of really working

He'll work out for the Lakers.

He made more money overseas. That's why he's been over there.

It's not like you're even cutting into your MLE for the guy.

I mean, would you rather have a worthless chump like Von Wafer who can't even play well against NBDL competition or a seasoned NBA and international veteran like Shammond Williams who also had a high degree of success at the major college level as well?

Or would you rather have Aaron McKie? Is that guy still alive?

See. It's not a huge signing but still an upgrade, IMO.

I can post wherever I please on this entire board.

It looks as though your forum is lacking in the knowledge department anyway.

How are you going to get mad at someone for making positive comments about a signing made by your team?

Laker "fans" never cease to amaze..........

EDIT: I just saw that you've been posting in the Spurs forum yet you want to attempt to call me out in this forum.

No word yet.

I've heard he's looking at the Lakers and Wolves and that the Cavs are interested.
