I'm a teller at a bank. I've been working about 7months and have about $3,000 saved up. I live at home, so the only things I have to buy are gas/food/phone, and golf clubs.

How do you like it??? I went for an interview on Monday it seemed really nice.... The lady I interviewd with seemed really cool, really laid back... The attitude at this bank is, have fun aslong as you get your work done...

Right now Im waiting on a call back because they are checking out my credit and background history which are clean so I should be good to go...

She said starting pay is between 10-15 an hour, Im hoping I get 12.

Its also Full-time which is great, gives me the chance to move out and get my own place.

I was working at a bank about 20miles(25 min) from my house, and I recently transfer to one thats only about 5miles(10min). I like the atmosphere at my new job better though. My co-workers fit my style better at the new branch, where at the old one most of them were a lot older than me.

It's a pretty easy job, but can get stressful when you get really busy and a problem arises. It also takes a lot of responsibility, because if you f*ck up there is usually a pretty severe consequence to the bank.

Basically, If you are good with people, quick on the keyboard, and good with basic math the job is pretty easy.

Damm a lot of tellers here. Well I basically work at a bank p/t and go to school (even in the summer) and I must say I like it. I get paid 12.90 an hour and the hours are flexible. Managers are mad cool and since I'm the only guy that works there (other then the security guard) I get treated pretty well. Middle age women hitting on me is a plus and American women seem to love foreign guys.

I don't get any benefits but last year the part-timers got like a dollar and change for every hour they worked for a bonus, so I figure I work about 25 hours a week for 52 weeks should be around 1200 or so, maybe 800 after taxes.

I work as a Computer Hardware Engineer. It's good enough money $26 an hour plus expenses. It a good job, although I hate it since i'm a contracter so some weeks I don't get any work and don't make any money. Plus I have to drive all over the state, so I spend sometimes 3 to 4 hours a day driving around. I've got a 12 hour drive to do on Sunday for a job. It's annoying, I drive 12 hours for a job that takes maybe 4 to do, I freaking hate it.

Would I be able to attend classes while work as a teller that would allow me to advance to a posistion like yours? How hard would that be?

Not directed at me, but i'm assuming it's not the easiest thing in the world. I went through 6 weeks of training 8 hours a day. Customer Service usually gets much more training than tellers, at least at my bank. Best of luck.
