Default TRADE idea..

ok im a laker fan so forgive me if i have hopes

im gonna assume that every1 here realized that kg has been loyal giving 110% to win every yr, but the front office couldnt put the pieces around him, and he deserves to go to another team while he is still in his prime thus starting the rebuilding phase

odom+bynum [aperantly the entire league thinks he is really special] + 19th pik +filler if u want

for

kevin

thats pretty much wat every 1 wants from a trade involving a superstar
young guys: a solid guy who can contribute now LO and and a prospect + u get another draft choice...

I would love to see this trade happen more than the next guy but the Lakers don't want to part with ANDREW BYNUM. They must understand that KG is the guy for the Lakers even if it means moving Bynum. I don't think Bynum will be that great in the future, but he'll be ok. I Could could picture him as 18-8-3 player in the future.

All im saying is that KG with Kobe could is a dream that should come true.

How about this trade.

Lakers get:
Kevin Garnett
Troy Hudson

Wolves get:
Andrew Bynum
Kwame Brown
Lamar Odom
#19 pick

This gives the Wolves a young prospect (Bynum), expiring contract (Brown), and a solid contributer (Odom).

The Wolves would also enter the draft with the #7 and #19 draft picks and would need a wing-player upgrade and a younger SF. They could draft Corey Brewer(SF, Florida) at #7, there is no better perimeter defender in this draft than Brewer. And then at #19 they could look at Alando Tucker, he's athletic, very experienced, and he has made some adjustments to his shooting stroke that have helped make his jumper more consistent.
Or they could prep Randy Foye to be a combo guard at the 2 spot and draft Acie Law a mature, intelligent and strong defender.

This line up wouldn't be horrible next season, and allows them to only get better in 2-3 years with their new prospects developing into starters:

Randy Foye/Marko Jaric
Ricky Davis/Rashad McCants/Alando Tucker
Juwan Howard/Trenton Hassell/Corey Brewer
Lamar Odom/Mark Madsen
Andew Bynum/Mark Blount/Kwame Brown

Bold = new acquistions
Italic = draft picks
