Default Backup for Nash

First of all Phx needs a SG as much as they need a PG, Raja is the only SG in the roster and Barbosa can run the point.

Here is a list of PG PHX should try and get

1. Delonte West - Good shooter/scorer, can drive the basket without problem, good defender and can fit in nicely with the suns. Maybe the TE and a pick should be enough to get him.

2.Carlos Arroyo - Really good playmaker, very quick, good scorer, good mid-rage shooter but not great 3 point shooter. average defender.

3. Jeff Mcinnis - Can really run the point, good defender, good mid-rage shooter but not great 3 point shooter. the nets really want to move him so it shouldn't take a lot to get him.

there are a few more, I'll come back later.

Marcus Banks would be OK, too. Probably better than McInnis at this point, who seems to have fallen off, due to injury but also in general

Another guy that might interest Phx is Chris Duhon from the bulls, the guy is a real PG, good floor general, can hit the 3 and mid-range shots without problem, but it's going to take more than the TE and a pick for chicago to trade him.

Marcus Banks would be great too, he could fit very well with PHX.

Janero Pargo can run the point, shoot from 3 and midrange and is an average defender so he could fit too.

Still Delonte West is the guy Phx needs he could become our future starting PG.
Arroyo and Duhon would be my other two best options

McInnis is to old.

West would be to expesive and probably Arroyo too. And they aren't even FA.

Duhon isn't FA.

yeah they should had kept sergio .................. anyway all I was saying is PHX should try to trade for them.

It appears PHX is targeting John Salmons, I like what he could bring to the team, at 6-6 can play the 1/2/3, good ballhandler, can drive and dish, good defender, but he isn't a real good 3 point shooter. IMO he would be a great adittion to the suns, the 3 point shooting problem isn't anything the coaching staff can't fix (look what they have done with Amare, Diaw, Barbosa, Marion). He and Barbosa as backups for both the 1 and 2 would be great.

Nash / Barbosa
Bell / Salmons / Piatkowski
Marion / jones
Diaw / Thomas
Amare / Burke

Still need another big guy

Why dont we go after AI? Maybe Marion for AI?

Nash and AI coming up the court would scare the Sh*t out of any defenders ( and would be F*cken SICK to watch)

C- Thomas
PF- Stoudimare
SF- Diaw
SG- AI
PG- Nash

= titles over the next two to three years (as long as Steve can last)

I agree....it'd be hilarious and totally electrifying....idk what we'd need to do to get AI to Phoenix though.....and pray that steve lasts forever cuz the day he retires, is the day basketball loses a star in the NBA sky!

nahhhhhhh adding Iverson would be like a cancer, he is a great player don't get me wrong but he can only make himself better that's why guys like igoudala, korver and dalembert haven't reach their full potential yet. AI is only good when he have the ball in his hand, so that's not going to work.

What's going on with Salmons, is he coming to PHX or did B. Conlangelo steal him from us ?????

Default need for a SG?? really?

personally i dont think barbosa is a point guard at all, he's too good a shooter and penetrator to be a real point guard, he is a shooting guard through and through, and with him coming off the bench behind raja and then either piatkowski or if we get salmons we will not need more guards whatsoever if we get one vet. point guard to spell nash (a real point guard) i suggested and still do brevin knight

Looks like we're gonna get one by the name of Marcus Banks. Real good fit.

Suns will probably get Banks, now Barbosa can be back up shooting guard which he does best.

He is small, but a big SG can't guard him on the offensive end.

So:

PG Nash/Banks/Barbosa
SG Bell/Barbosa/Jones
SF Marion/Jones/Piatkowski
PF Diaw/Marion/Thomas/Burke
C Amare/Diaw/Thomas/Burke

Just switch Eric P and Jones, and that's probably what you'll see next season.

Marcus Banks.

I'm a really big fan of his. He will be among the best back up PGs in the league if he signs with the Suns.
