The Cavs were the worst team in the league 4 years ago for a reason. They brought in Damon Jones and Donyell Marshall a couple of years ago to basically get in their spot and hit 3s. Damon, Donyell, and Gibson steady bricked nearly every WIDE OPEN 3-pointer they took (and they took a lot).

Neither Gooden nor Z could hit a thing.

This allowed the Spurs' defense to play the lanes and not allow LeBron to get to the hoop. No one on here is saying he is a great shooter. He is a streaky shooter. When he gets hot, he is nearly impossible to stop. However, when his jumper is off, it would be nice if someone.... anyone stepped up with any shots. If someone else takes and hits some shots, the Spurs cannot roam around the lane and wait for LeBron to drive the ball (something that he IS great at). I have little doubt that if LeBron could have gotten some easy hoops to go in the Finals that his mid-range game would have gotten going.


Are you really going to compare a team with a second round rookie as their next best offensive threat to a team with Shaq, Posey, Haslem, J-Will, Kapono, Payton, and Zo?

Well International basketball is different from NBA Basketball competition. The only way that USA can win is if they are ready enought to play as a one team.

Kobe needs to be a team player for his country because the USA has so many offensive player in their lineup and Kobe shoots only less than 30 percent from the 3 pt.line. Kobe is a great player but he must share the ball to his teammates and be much passionate enough to represent his country from International competition.

The difference is that Lebron is the team's superstar, of course he's gonna be blamed more than his teammates. The same could be said for their success, i hear nobody saying the cavs got to the finals because of a team effort...

And that has what to do with anything? NBA players are bigger, stronger, quicker and more skilled then any other international team. They don't mesh well together because they're all looking to be the hero, and they don't play good enough defense. It's not because the international game is different, it's because there are too many individual, starting off with Carmelo and Lebron.

By the way, The International 3 point line is WAYY closer then the NBA one, so the 30% from 3 point counts for pretty much nothing.

Hell yeah. No one else currently on that squad deserves that status but Kobe alone. I'm pretty sure Coach K will agree as well.
