Wow, Im no Michael Bay fan but just wow, this was one of the few films where everyone just clapped at the end of the movie, I recommend anyone who is a Fan to see this. I hope they make a squel, damn with the effects here I think they can even make a robotech movie also.

I have to disagree, I watched the first transformers movie and enjoyed it I enjoyed this aswell, plus I grewup watching Ultraman and all the Super Sentai shows, this movie's CGI was topnotch plus it was a rumble fest all the way.

I can't wait either. I remember taking my son to the movies to see the animated version years ago. It was the first time he didn't want to sit with me in the theatre. (too big to be with his mom and all) He sat 2 rows ahead of me I think he was about 7 or 8. We are going together to see this one plus we are taking my 3 nephews ages 9, 9 and 10 we cant wait!!!

Kinda little itty bitty spoilers in here, so if you don't want to know anything about the movie, don't read.

Saw it yesterday. It was good, although it suffers from the usual Michael Bay problems. Starts of good, slows down in the middle, almost becomes a comedy movie, then really picks up at the end, awesome fight scenes at the end. Cool that they used Peter Cullen as the voice of Optimus, he really sounds good. Hugo Weaving is good enough as Megatron, they've computerised his voice so it sounds kinda funny.

The robots hardly get any character development, basically it's just Optimus explaining we're the good guys, Megatron's a crazy ****er, he's evil and wants to take over the universe. The entire backstory is summed up in about a minute, most of it is explained in the prequel comics. Stuff like Optimus mentioning Megatron as being his "brother" makes no sense unless you've read the comics (He doesn't mean literal brother more like a brother in arms). Hardly any of the Decepticons speak at all. Make sure you don't leave straight away though, they play some stuff during the credits.

I was psyched about this movie until I saw the trailer. They tried to make the transformers TOO high tech. You can see all kinds of mechanics, like servos, etc. It looks more like Robots in Disguise than Gen 1, and that pisses me off.

Transformers? Do you mean the kind of device that converts current of one voltage into current of another voltage?
