I think they'd be wasting Durant at SG... He'd have problems with the faster players like Barbosa, Wade

I really don't get this at all, why on earth would you dumb the only SG you have to free up cash and sign a 3rd SF ?

They need to do a S&T with Lewis, not keep him.

They talk up resigning him to increase his value in a S&T. Just clever really. If you say we arent signing him, which their draft screams to me, then you reduce his value. Teams wont give up as much for a guy you dont want as if they believe you will geuninely resign him.

I dont like the pick though, Lewis and Durant are the same player, so why get another guy is the same position. Should have gone big with that pick because I'm a big Petro and Sene fan, but neither are starters for a few years yet.

my guess is that the bennett the new owner cares more about clearing house before the probable move out of seattle.

s&t with shard; wouldnt surprise me if ridour is traded too

as fun as it would be to see those three together, i am not betting on it

Ric Bucher said Kobe wouldnt be a Laker after the NBA draft. As of today he still is. Who gives a f*ck about Ric Bucher reports anymore. He's an assclown and his credibility is no better than Jeff's.

Why would we trade a player of almost infinite value at this point for an aging superstar? Why would we have traded Ray Allen to the Celtics if our ultimate goal was to obtain Garnett?

Wouldn't it have been better to keep Ray Allen and let Rashard Lewis go?

Kevin Durant is an inside player who eventually will develop into a PF, Allen is a perimeter shooter, and Green can play SF.

I'll tell you what. All three of those forwards will have a tough time against Oden and Randolph should they stay together at Portland. And a team like Phoenix will torch them cause they won't have the ability to keep up with their guards.

They gotta be thinking trade down the line.

it would have been if the goal is to put together a good mix of vets and youngsters to have a good team

but the new owner is in ramping up for the future mode--- not in seattle

kc or okc will love to have any team at this point...

btw, welcome back young hkm!

no they shouldn't... i would take VC over Lewis in case of the over-foward experiece (just ask the Hawks)... if not then get a few role players here and there... making Durant the 1st option...

guys it's pretty obvious that the Sonics will not have all 3 of Green, Lewis and Durant next year. because that'd be ABSURD. they're either going to trade Green (doubt it) or are increasing Lewis' value so they can trade him for something good (probably).

because this team has gaping holes almost everywhere.

Some idiot team is gonna give lewis more than he's worth. He's def. not worth anywhere near a max contract. He's just not that type of player. Would be better suited to be a sidekick.

rumor is that since ray has been traded, the sonics have more salary room and will sign shard to the max-- which will make him happy and increase what we can get back in a s&t
