Jordan wants to sell tickets and he wants a star to build around. Okafor has been solid, but isn't really that seat seller. If J-Rich can develop a more consistent jump shooter, I always thought he could be an allstar.
Good trade for Charlotte. They get a legit scorer, who can put fans in the stands. Golden State, on the other hand, is taking a risk on Wright. Sure he might be great, but he's very raw. It's definately a step in the wrong direction for them in terms of the immediate future.
It frees up room to re-sign Monta and possibly Pietrus as well. It also gives Monta more playing time and gives them a VERY good prospect for their frontcourt. A Wright/Biedrins frontcourt is something I think will be very good.
Not bad for Charlotte as well. It'll probably draw in more fans and give them an outside shot at the playoffs.
Did any1 see J-Rich in the plauoffs...his knee is a wrap...He was barely able to get up and dunk...Stupid trade by Jordan...utterly stupid..I like J-Rich but he is on the downhill after that knee surgery and will weilt under the pressure of having to be a big time scoring option without his athletism
