Yup.

Thinking more about this these last few days, and based on current rosters, NJ is still the team to beat. Which, as it plays out, should have both Nets and Raps in the 3-4-5 spots in the above list. But with three or four "starters" as backup now, there is gotta be a Raps trade coming!

With NJ now signing Magloire and getting Nenad back healthy, I think they are clearly the team to beat in the Atlantic. The Raps will have to play very well and figure out their rotation early, and hope the 3-5 talented players who will see basically no mins don't cause headaches.

I think that the Raptors will surpirse a lot of people this season. Think about it, if Bargnani gets better, if he has worked on defense and agressiveness, we could see a major change in how we use him. When Bosh gets doubled he could pass it out and we could have Kapono open, we could have Parker open, we could have Ford open, Bargnani. We'll have tons of options. If that shot is missed and Bargnani is playing his position downlow he could grab the boards with Bosh and I think we could be a top 10 rebounding team.

We have a lot of options now. But it is a bit early to predict this there is still the whole summer to make moves in the Atlantic. I won't be surpised if Colangelo makes a big move either.

Magloire doesn't make NJ better. That's treading water.

Nesterovic would make them better!

Rasho probably would considering they had a weak front court. They got a capable rebounding, defensive centre. They don't need scoring from that position with VC, RJ and Nenad. So how can the addition of Magloire NOT make them better?

Here it goes...

1. Chicago
2/3. Cleveland
3/2. Toronto
4. Detroit
5. New Jersey
6. Orlando
7. Washington
8. New York
----------------
9. Miami
10. Philadelphia
11. Charlotte
12. Boston
13. Milwaukee
14. Atlanta
15. Indiana

*I just re-read this and it makes no sense as far as seeding with the division winners. whatever

1. Chicago: The best young team in the Conference by far. They are 3 deep at nearly every position and are getting more and more experience. Deng is going to bust his "bubble" and average over 23 points and 7 rebounds (think of an old Grant Hill - Piston days). This team is going nowhere but up.

2. (3.) Cleveland: Proved a lot this summer, and will continue to do well barring Varejao stays. If he leaves, they will drop in wins and effectiveness. They will be a slow churning team hard to watch. They will have 14 ABC-televised games and they will all be as hard to watch as another San Antonio- Miami game. (I hate those Sunday afternoon golf speed games) Lebron will only get better, Gooden, booby and flip will all contribute consistently. Will be a good team again.

3. (2.) Toronto: You all know whats up

4. Detroit: They are old and worn out. Detroit is headed for the ditch at full speed. They need to dump those players while they still have a shred of value. RIP, Sheed, McD all need to go immediately for young talent, picks, cap room etc.. all the essentials to grow your own team hydroponically. They are going no farther than the 4th seed next year....if that.

5. New Jersey: Same **** different toilet paper for these fellows.

6. Orlando: Finally!! A Swingman who doesn't miss every 2 games or some crap. Rashard is getting paid a stupid amount of money and is locked up long term along with his new buddy Howard. This year starts a series of many successful tenures for this squad. Jameer finally has someone to pass to besides Turkey Glue and Howard. I hope Dwight comes out this year with a polished post game, he needs it and it should be his only concern at this point.

Im tired see ya guys later. If you liked my commentary I will continue.

as long as Magloire can deliver his current career averages of 6/6, then he is an instant upgrade over Collins

Honestly, I believe Magloire will deliver better than 6 and 6.....He still has the effort to get more of that...

If the Wizards are healthy we will have a 50 win season and top 4 seed guaranteed.

I really doubt that... top 4 seed, MAYBE and that's a pretty big MAYBE... but 50 wins is just not gonna happen...
