No way. Duncan should be after Hakeem Olajuwon, who was better than him in every single aspect of the game of basketball.

Exactly. I mean IMO Hakeem is better than Shaq too, but at least Shaq was more dominant so an argument can be made. But there is absolutely NO aspect of basketball that you can convince me Duncan is better than Hakeem at. Not one.

Finally people are giving Jerry some love. I said he should've been seventh, but I'll settle for 8th, or atleast top 10.

There are a few names not mentioned that should begin to be considered. I'm not voting for them yet, but Bob Pettit is one. His career overlapped with Elgin Baylor. Pettit was awarded 2 MVPs and won a championship; Baylor never accomplished either. Pettit had career numbers of 26.4 PPG and 16.2 RPG. Just someone we should all be considering now.

Bob Cousy. Someone said assists were awarded less frequently during Oscar Robertson's era; well, Cousy began his career before Robertson--in an era where there was no such thing as a "point" guard and when nobody cared about assists. Assists didn't help for contracts and they didn't get hardly any mention. Cousy led the league in assists for 8 consecutive seasons and won 6 championships. He was awarded an MVP and was in the top 6 in MVP voting another 4 times. Who was the next best player in the 1950s NBA who would be considered a point guard today? Probably Bob Davies--how many have even heard of him? Career numbers of 18.4 PPG, 7.5 APG and 5.2 RPG.

George Mikan. This guy probably dominated his era more than any NBA player ever dominated. That's greatness. They banned defensive goaltending and widened the lane because of him. The NBA may never have lasted without this guy, either. He led the Lakers to 6 titles in 7 seasons. The only time his team lost the title was when he was badly injured. If they awarded MVPs during his career, he likely would have had 5 (the all-pro teams were ordered by votes and Mikan was atop 5 times). Career numbers of 23.1 PPG and 13.4 RPG.

Otherwise, I agree with the names being mentioned. I'm going to vote for Hakeem Olajuwon again. He has it all: MVP, 6 times in the top 5 for MVP voting, 2-time Defensive Player of the Year, 2 titles, played the best at his position at a time loaded with great centers, one of the greatest big-game performers--a very complete resume.
