Cleveland is not a running team,

Yup. If they put Varejao and Gooden on the team. They'll most likely run.

Why would Seattle do that? Seattle could get a decent player for Watson alone and Wally has a shorter contract then Hughes. Cavs would do that in a heartbeat.

The Cavaliers aren't a fastbreak/Run n' Gun team. Where'd you get that from? And since when the hell could Drew Gooden play in a running offense?

Seattle would do it because Shard Durant Green and Wally are all true 3's.

They get a SG and a more versatile lineup, and Hughes is more reliable than Wally. Kobe Tmac Melo AI Roy and the many other Sf's/SG's out West would burn anyone on the current Sonic's roster. Hughes is still an above average defender when he's healthy, which is rarely, but more often than Wally.

Also they have a lot of shooters and can benefit from a nice slasher type player which Hughes thrives as.

Nah **** that. I would rather have Wally come off the bench then have Hughes jacking up shots. Not to mention take another egomaniac chucker in Damon Jones, who also has a bad deal.

If I was trying to rebuild, I definitely wouldn't want those two morons on my team.

The word on Cleveland talk radio is Hughes for Joe Johnson... straight up. I know Atlanta isn't that stupid... which bring me to the question of how these Cleveland radio voices get their own show if they believe that Atlanta would entertain this deal for more than 10 seconds.

It would be hilarious if it was true, though. That would be the worst trade in NBA history, possibly.

Sarcasm, I imagine.

Boy, that Hughes signing turned out to be a franchise killer, didn't it? Even at the time, people were scratching their heads.

Not that it's Danny Ferry's only bad move, of course.

Why didn't the Cavs offer Varejo (I definitely just butchered his name : ) and Hughes for Randolph?
