With that line up I say they make it to the same place but put up a better fight unless Gray gets up to play and becomes a good post player which then I think they could make it to the Finals.
But there are so many players that teams are shooping and FA's.
We need to go after J O'Neal, the guy is still young - would probably really thrive on a team like Chicago who plays some what of an uptempo game and needs a post man. O'Neal would easily be able to put up 25 and 12 in Chicago. Although it would take a whole lot to be able to match his 18 million.
Hughes is being shopped - maybe take a crack at him, involving Gooden as well?
Still need to keep trying at KG.
Gerald Wallace could be that big defensive gaurd we need to take us all the way - if we could get him without giving up a major player - which would be unlikely then we should look into things here.
-PJ Brown would probably be needed to be able to make things work for most trades.
The end of the bench needs to be dealt - adding Brown in there - Allen, Sweetney, ect. Nocioni and Duhon if we end up with better players.
Nocioni would return and Noah is a great addition... but all other teams are also getting better... the Bulls NEED to do somthing... they can't just settle with this line-up...

Wasn't there talk that Michael Jordan wanted to trade Gerald Wallace to the Bulls for Ben Gordon? I'd do that. Then maybe give up Tyrus Thomas or Noah for Gasol.
Man, I'd love it if the Bulls had a lineup of this at the beginning of next season:
Ben Wallace
Pau Gasol
Luol Deng
Gerald Wallace
Kirk Hinrich
With
Noah or Thomas
Gray
Nocioni
Sefolosha
Duhon
off the bench
That team has size, plays defense, can score and low post scoring with Gasol.

If they started the season today and made no moves from here, they'd make eastern conference finals. If they made moves to bring in veterans and low-post game, they are big time final contenders.

I'm down with the trade for Gasol cuz that'd be huge but why do yall wanna see Gordon go so bad? I think he's a huge part of the team....i rather see Hinrich go....
All the team needs is a low post scorer who can average around 15 ppg and a big 2 gaurd who can score at least 10-12 ppg off the bench. We should be able to get a low post player like I said and a decent backup SF by trading Nocioni, Duhon and a future first round pick. Also there will be plenty of big 2 gaurds in free agency who can give us more scoring off the bench. A free agent like Magloire would be nice because Aaron Gray as the first backup for Ben Wallace doesn't make much sence at this point.

I'd do Wallace for Gordon. Wallace is a big gaurd who can defend, but he isn't a terrible offensive player - the guy can score.
But lossing Gordon means there is some points that would need to be scored so another move would be needed.
Nocioni, Duhon, PJ Brown, Sweetney, Allen, Griffin, draft picks could all be used in some way to get one or two average to good post player(s).
How about trading Gordon and Noc (S&T) for Gasol? Gasol would make up for the points that we lose trading Gordon, and the salaries should match up fairly well. Since Wallace is an unrestricted FA, we can then sign him to take Gordon's spot. I think that would work out.
